I have bald patches on my arm
I bought this K-Bar knife off of William and picked it up from the Post Office yesterday

To me a knife is not sharp unless it will easily shave that hair off of my arm. Like all knives I get the first thing I do is sharpen them to my preferred angle and sharpness. This knife has good metal and it took a bit to get the edge I wanted on it. It's there now and I'm missing arm hair. It slices tomatoes pretty well too, I'm eating one for lunch, since I had to slice on with the new knife.

Same test I use . If it ain’t shaving sharp it ain’t sharp . An older buck fixed blade , from about 1979 is the hardest to sharpen that I own but it keeps an edge forever

I throw a fine silk handkerchief in the air and slice it into two pieces as it flutters to the ground. 3 -

Those Bucks take awhile to sharpen. Once you get them sharp it pays to keep them touched up.pulsarnc said:Same test I use . If it ain’t shaving sharp it ain’t sharp . An older buck fixed blade , from about 1979 is the hardest to sharpen that I own but it keeps an edge forever

I throw my snot rag in the air and cut it in half with my knife and then draw my gun and shoot holes in both pieces before they hit the ground. 3 -
Scout , the buck has been with me forever . Next to a worn thin , probably 75 year old " old hickory" butcher knife from my grandparents it is my favorite knife for skinning deer and such 0 -
