How Spoiled is your Dog?
On a scale of 1-10, my Dog (Buddy) is a solid 9.
Possibly a 9+.

On my scale of spoiling dogs, mines a 10. But on some people's it would be a lot lower. None the less this is the most spoiled dog I've owned. He behaves well though. 0 -
Is this the look of a spoiled dog? Then on a scale of 1 to 10 , she is definitely a 10.

You are underfeeding that dog, Gary. She is wasting away.
For God's sake, bust out some food.

Her veterinarian and my doctor have us both on strict diets. She weighs 63 lbs and he wants her down to 45. She is having bad hip and joint problems. Arthritis has set in I’m afraid.

My dog is so spoiled I let him drive the pickup - instead of ride in the back.
Just kidding. The truth of the matter is I don't have a dog - now.3 -
Both of mine are spoiled rotten! Does rotten constitute a 10?
Ever since I started adding chicken to their dry kibble, they have both turned their noses up to just dry kibble! I get lazy some mornings and try to make my life easy. Nope! Not going to happen!
Of coarse, the blame for spoiled rotten is on my shoulders and mine alone. They are both worth there weight in solid gold to me for all the love they return and the crazy antics they give me!0 -
Don't have a dog, but LOML has a poodle/shedzu cross that's not really "spoiled" she's just smarter than we are so she gets what she wants by various tricks.
Her favorite treat is a "baby carrot". She can be as tricky as Captain Kangaroo's Bunny Rabbit when she wants one.0 -
My dog Buddy, does the "I wanna go out front."
When he wants back in, Stands upright at the door, I call it assuming the position, ready for the pat down/arrest. Hands way over his head, lower feet spread. "I know you see me." Too funny.
Let him in. "Now I wanna go out back."
He has this habit where if he goes out front, he HAS to go out back when coming inside in order to see what is going on on the back deck and see what he can see there. HAS to.
If I don't accomodate that, he will come slap me with his paw on my hand/arm. If that doesn't work he will slap me in the chest or shoulder with his paw and hold it there or push. If that fails to get the desired result, he will start barking at me. Making eye contact. Won't stop until I let him out back.
What is even funnier, is when it is raining. He can't hit the door to come back inside fast enough, but he HAS to go right back out the back door. (Like it is not raining out there also.) 30 seconds later. I want in. (Assuming the position, looking in like "I see you.") "It's raining out here."

Have already had a couple instances since posting that I got the paw slap. Running around like a nut, grabbing my arm and hand in his mouth and barking at me. Was out back for a while. Assumed the position, in order to let me know he wanted back in. ("I see you in there. I know you see me.") A few minutes later, the above behavior ensued. After messing with him for a while, I let him out in the freshly mowed front yard. He is an absolute nut.
What a great dog. 😁

I wouldn't want you to think our dog is spoiled. However, sometimes a dog, any dog, can feel unappreciated.
This is when we have Doggie Appreciation Day.
We grill three, 10 ounce ribeyes over hickory coals. Daisy prefers her steak medium-rare.
Once Daisy has inspected the grilled steak, I cut it up in to one ounce chunks, and she ate the whole thing. This made her feel a lot betterr.0 -
OMG Allen.
I am not letting Buddy see this. Nope. Not happening.

Gary-no problems, just get a bigger recliner. 0 -
$12.98/lb for Ribeye?
Somebody got ripped there. 😮😣😥
(And) It weren't Daisy.

we have four dogs ( currently ) just took one to a vet now a 100.00 a month for her meds . hope we can get it under control and drop down that cost a bit .
that aside they eat mostly chicken and some hamburger some turkey and snub there nose at dog food . I mix in brown rice and chicken broth top off with bacon r hamburger grease to break up the taste for them
if I were a dog I would love to have a life like theirs , they eat better get treated better than I did as a kid LOL
my grocery bill I would guess is 50.00 a week just dog /cat food and treats as in dog snaps, dog bacon strips ,marrow bones chew sticks on occasion and watch/ stay with them when they have one . if its a dog snack our pantry has it , . not counting the thirty or so dollars in chicken each week . + boxes of 40 small cans of cat food couple big bags of dry cat food (oh we 15 or so cats )
I try not to think of the new truck or guns even more retirement money LOL I could have with all the money for food and vet bills ..
but they have become part of the family funny how getting older we get more open to letting them into out heart and treat them like people
my parents and inlaws are rolling over in there grave's at what I do and spend for our pets I have no doubt0 -

This is the spare bedroom, Bitty sleeps with a humidifier. She cannot get up onto the bed or down off of the bed without help, so its a nightly routine to go tuck her in and go pick her up and put her on the floor in the morning. She is NOT a morning girl and growls like she wants to kill you when its time to get up.0 -
Wife's dog eats boneless skinless chicken breast with rice 0 -
I vote Libertarian, but...

I get a bowl of cold serial, peanut butter and crackers. Little furry 4 legged person gets warm grilled chicken, occasional beef, raw carrots, raw sugar snap peas, omega 3 supplements, all the best. To top it off when bath time comes the wife bathes him and holds him in her arms while he is wrapped in a towel for at least an hour. He gives way more than he gets. 0 -
Ed, you mean to tell me your Wife does not bath you, and hold you in her arms while you are wrapped in a towel for an hour?

I found some older deer meat in the freezer... Dixie is going to eat well with it mixed in her food. Did I mention she sits right in front of the stove while I cook it. 0 -
Ed, I've had Buddy wrapped up in a towel and have been holding him in my arms for the past hour.
He has fought like hell to get away. 😮

Nope, but I will give her credit for scratching my back but you can be sure Butch is right beside me shoving his toys at me for attention. 0 -
I hate to admit it but these spoiled dog threads are making me JEALOUS!
