Smoked EEL
Any of you boyos like the snakes?? I remember when I was young we lived in Bohemia, Long Island, N.Y. and we would go to a real deli (No Real Delis in N.C.) and get a smoked eel, some good rye bread , butter, a jar of cherry peppers, maybe some German Potato Salad. I think my Dad drank Rheingold Beer.

You're probably using the wrong rolling paper. Need to get some Ziz Zag or Bob Marley.0 -
Nope! None made around here even though we have the Lamprey swimming in our waters. Darn oversized blood suckers! Instead there was always a supply of either pickled or smoked cow tongue.
Darn good stuff!0 -
Smoked eel is a delicacy in Korea. Very expensive and good. Had my share of it. 0 -
I remember the tv show "Filthy Rich"? it was on NatGeo about a old guy on a river with a weir who caught eels and smoked them. Always wanted to try them but what I saw him charge for one I doubt I can afford one.
Now price of the glass eels (baby eels from the Eastcoast) my gawed!!! One could buy a house in a season, that is if they don't get jacked and killed over their catch.

Ate lots of eel dishes in Okinawa and the U.S. I prefer it fried. 0
