What all is this revolver missing.....eyes and thoughts..

Always up for a good challenge, and enjoy taking Smith revolvers apart, cleaning and re assembling them. Seen this on the auction side, and thought it might be a fun little project. It's mostly complete, and I figured that between the parts that I have laying around and what I could purchase, it might be worthwhile. From looking at the pictures, it looks like it needs grips, firing pin spring and pin, rear sight, cylinder release latch and screw, strain screw and maybe something else. I thought no big deal, until I noticed that the trigger stud was gone. I see that they're available, but have never replaced one. Anyone else see other missing pieces, or have experience with staking a trigger stud? Might be a fun project for the right price..

    Yes pretty much the same I see. I don't think I would put $260.00, the current bid with shipping, in that not knowing the condition of the parts unless I needed them.

    Agree, I figured $250 would be my max, all things considered.

    Excellent project if you feel like tackling it. Half the fun would be the scrounging for parts.

    If you have that time but dang, add a little more you can have a not so pretty functioning one. I guess I am pretty much done with those challenges but hey, good for you and revive it if you please.:)

    $100 would be my limit for an "AS IS" gun.  Too many things that could be wrong.
