I just about cried when she sent me the video of him hanging out with the grandbaby.....its like night and day from the fussy old man that was insistent that we all leave him alone.     My oldest was always his favorite and he's always done more for her than all the other grandkids he had.    My other kids didn't really mind because they had other grandparents that did the same with them.     Larry's mother took up with my other daughter and my son was always big buddies with Larry's dad.

I'm in shock at how on top of things my daughter is.    I figured I'd still be figuring out things, but she's handled everything.   She's got doctor's appointments lined up, his ID renewed on line and printed out so they can go to the Social Security office and change his address.    She's going to see if she can't get him one of those mechanical beds so he can sit up in bed......thats on the long list of needs she has decided he needs.

He's in a good bit of pain because of arthritis and he's had heartburn today because he's been eating everything she's cooked for him and he hasn't been accustomed to big meals since being on his own.     She said John, the 2 year old, keep hugging him.    He'll just have to put up with that.

Nothing better than family. I would be lost if we were not close with our kids and being a grandpa is really AWESOME.

It appears he has a parking ticket he hasn't taken care of.    She's going to make some calls Tuesday and see what she can sort out.    Hopefully its not going to be a problem.
