I know how to edit the text of posts of mine but how delete the whole thing?

  I'm not sure you can but you can have one of the moderators do it or ask Mark to handle it.

  Make it a two-fer; ask a Mod to delete a Post/Thread and then delete the Post/Thread requesting them to delete a Post/Thread!

  You could just edit it and "wipe" off the whole posts and have nothing but blank space left.  Seen that here a few times.

  It used to be that you couldn't delete once there was a reply to a post. Now, there exists no mechanism to do it, except by a moderator. So, get your request in early and often, eh @mark christian ?
