The perfect soul burning hatred of one of God's creatures
I have found it. STINK BUGS. They are the most disgusting, stinking, invasive, wall crawling, bounce off your head drunken flyers, hide anywhere, eat anything green, no natural enemies, useless creatures on this fair globe.
Wasp spray works good killing them, carb cleaner zaps them too. Just about all other poisons are useless because they have long spindly legs that hold them up away from the other bug killers.
I have found them in a box of 10 electrical sockets, the box had HUNDREDS of the stinking crawling vermin in it. My electrical cloth bag with tools and electrical boxes had THOUSANDS of them trying to winter over in there.
I truly hate these despicable creatures.

I just love the Hoont bug zappers. Put one in the kitchen and it seems every bug in the house finds it, especially when left on all night. Sevin spray or powder will take them out in an instant in your garden.
Having said all that, I find stinkbugs would make better company than main stream media. I cant think of anything more vile than MSM.6 -
They are all over my house. Ten years ago, never heard of a stink bug around here. I smush about a dozen a day. They like to climb around on the windows, strangely, on windows that face east or south.
I don't know where they come from I wish they would go back.0 -
If you try to pick one up with a paper towel, the stink will come through and get on your fingers. I’d rather smell a skunk than those bastages. 6 -
I try to avoid poisons like Sevin because it kills bees and good critters, I choose to use diatomaceous earth powder instead. Lord only knows how they can get into a house in such numbers they are everywhere. My favorite way of getting the window crawling buzzards is to use TP to grab them and drown them in the toilet as I take a leak. The satisfaction of drowning the disgusting vermin in urine is somehow very satisfying.

Yes, they are VILE creatures. They fly into your head and what hair I have. NASTY biatches. 3 -
The "experts" think they come over in all the containers shipped from China..we have a native species of the stink bug in the USA...but these [no BS] are from China...thank Walmart... 3 -
Rumor here some time back that the Rabbit Sheriffs turned a bunch of rattle snakes loose on some local national forest lands to combat the stinking Bastages. This was before the recent plague of the vermin. Hard to believe they would do that but who knows. Never seen a rattler near here but they have been dispatched as close a 2 or 3 miles away, very rare though. Plenty of stink bugs so it must not work. When one gets to circling just stick up your hand, dummy will hit it wide open then smash it with something. Don't use your bugger hook. 6 -
"Children of the Earth"?????? How about Children of the Sun.......lolFlying Clay Disk said:Had so many stink bugs growing up, it was just a natural occurrence.
Yeah, they stink, and they're dumb bugs, but just be glad you don't get Mormon Crickets, or Children of the Earth (potato bugs)
as we called them. Those puppies are nasty, in more ways than one!!

I was at Ft. Chaffee Arkansas and we were board out of our minds and someone gave me a dollar to eat a stink bug. I didn't swallow it but man I tell you what- They taste like STINK! 0 -
How long did it take the "stink" taste to go away? 0 -
never heard of a "children of the earth" and do not recall seeing one I am sure I would remember it ..

Put dishes back in the kitchen came back to the couch, saw a small morsel where I had been sitting. Popped it in my mouth, and chewed like twice. Yep - Stinkbug. Vile nasty, nasty. Took forever for the taste to go away. An experience I do not care to repeat.

Search "child of the earth" rather than children, you will get more results. Also called Jerusalem cricket, because it is a cricket. Those marmorated stink bugs don't occur in NM, and I have never seen one. I have handled many of the native stink bugs here with no issue, or stink. I don't eat them though...

We get quite a few stink bugs around here in Michigan. They don't seem to get into my house very often but my detached garage seems to attract them most. The worst thing I run into is the little boogers always get into the utility door jams and when I close a door...… stinky squish! Cleaning them off can be a bit of work if you don't take care of the mess pronto! One year I didn't pay attention and just let a stink bug graveyard accumulate. Ended up having to repaint all the door jams! 0 -
When all the people are gone, the bugs will rule the earth.

Wow.....I have never ever seen one of those......Billy Thorpe was cool, and, I was referring to an invasion by aliens with my reference....but I think those Children of the Earth might just be able to kill some alien invaders.......lolFlying Clay Disk said:mohawk600 said:

Supposedly stink bugs came here on shrubbery packaging from china to the US in eastern PA. I get them bad at my house. Yesterday I set off 4 bug bombs in the attic and 1 on my sun porch. In a few hours I had 1000's of dead ones in the sun porch. They seem to like warmth so a western facing wall inside is where they go Which in my house is my bedroom. We have to use a vacuum. Just suck'em live off the walls and ceiling then set the vacuum out of the room because of the smell. In the Fall they swarm to my place. We've tried lots of things. I don't like to use insecticides where we'll be exposed while it's still in the air. We tried the light suspended over a bucket of water. It only worked so-so. If some one ever comes up with a product to get rid of these, I'll be the first in line with how ever much $ they ask. And there are homes they don't bother. They must be in the shade or something. My daughter never has them and she lives a half mile away down in a bit of a valley. 0 -
I will take stink bugs over black fly (buffalo gnats). I live right beside the river and they are terrible this year.
