I have a "few sets of jack stands . but most all of mine I stripped the labels on when I get them
I am sure at two sets came from HF now I will have figure out a way to tell
and I also have two the lock pin (pawl ) broke on one large and one small jack stand I still use them with the saddle just sitting on the tripod   (have my 3pt mower deck on two right now )so I may just take a trip to HF nothing to loose   they trade them for me and of course any of the others that I may suspect . but it does help I blamed my youngest son for some how breaking them

While I will rest the weight of the car on Jack stands I always leave the floor jack in position as a safety precaution.

I use jack stands, two floor jacks, 17 concrete blocks and a milk crate under mine....just to be safe.

I bought 2 sets of jackstands from Sears a couple of years ago. It was only after I bought them that I read the reviews. Someone said that you could drop the jackstand with the weight still on it. I thought that must be a mistake since it would be a serious safety concern. Tested it out for myself and sure enough if you lift the handle with the vehicle on it the stand drops. Sears wouldn't take them back.

Let's farm out all our industrial production to China.  And manufacture of all pharmacutecils as well.  What could go wrong?

I just drive the Tundra back to Japan and have them do the work.  I don't think they get jack stands from HF.

Just wait till they try and slip some vaccine into some meds.

Clearly, they've already slipped some vaccine into jack stands. And socket wrenches. You ever use a socket wrench without getting bloody knuckles? Ha! there's your vaccine injection. (Serf must be jealous for not revealing this first.)

I needed a set last fall for doing some tire\wheel exchanges but before I left to go to Harbor Freight I got company from out of town.  By the time they left, the stores were closed so I jury rigged some very thick short sections of lumber together and got the job done.   At the time, I was kind of P.O.ed  at said companies timing but now with this news am happy not to own any more Chinese junk!

I will be doing some fair weather yard sailing looking for some vintage American made jack stands!

When it comes to ensuring my own personal safety, I find that Harbor Freight is the best place to buy. Always. And will never go anywhere else.

It is going to take a tremendous amount of reform and an unprecedented behavior change by the federal government at all levels to include city, state, and county if we are ever going to see manufacturing return to the USA. As long as DEMOCRATs have some degree of control, such will never happen.

Remember Obama when asked about manufacturing jobs "Some jobs are just not going to come back" He and the DEMOCRATs meant every word of it, plus thru executive orders, taxes, and passing punitive legislation they exacerbated the American manufacturing exodus.  Their idea of jobs are GOVERNMENT jobs.

I took mine back,  they couldnt read the numbers,  so not covered?   I guess they will never be used again.
They looked exactly like a pair that was just returned.  Pretty hard to come out ahead at that joint.

today I received a letter form HF its red lettered  "recall  alert "  , I have not opened it but betting its on the jack stands  I have at least five or six sets maybe more sets   of jack stands  assorted labeled  even a set  that  look home made but very well made and heavy, that set and several more use the cross bolt system not the dog leg ratchet  style   any way I bought two sets a couple years give or take  from HF on line guessing thats where they pulled  my info from . I will find out when I open the letter LOL
