Babies with moma. Our first successful hatching with a mother hen and she is a great mother.

    Teenagers doing what teens do.

If they all survive that will put us at about 30. Counting the rooster.

I have always loved chickens.  Probably had them over a 20 to 25 year period.  Up until the last batch I got about 6 years ago.  I didn't know chickens could be that nasty!  When I got rid of them I haven't even considered getting more.

wife has kept  chickens  around for guessing 40 years of our marriage  ( no not the same chickens )  we still have maybe  a dozen +/-   chickens and roosters with 1/2 dozen or so  ducks . two turkeys and two guinea's   and two geese .
my  wife keeps them as pets she said this is the last of them when there gone that's it .. but in the past I have heard that than a trip  to a local farm store(s)  when baby chicks  are in ends that .
she had some miniature goats  that acted more like dogs around her but they passed on some time back and she still misses them .

oh 40 years ago we bought like 30 or 40 chicks  we were to butcher ( growing up her family butchered hogs and  chickens  ) but when it came time she could not go thru with it ,,   hint never give something you plan on eating a name LOL

    Very cool Rob!
I kind of gave up on having Chickens in the near future. In normal times we like to travel stateside and it's difficult enough getting friends to feed our cats.
