Made in America filter on Amazon?

This would be a great way to “Buy Made in the US” items...

Jeff Bezos has a team of people that stand by to review emails and if we send enough of these maybe we'll get country of manufacture added!

    I think Rocky hit this one on the head.
    Amazon will see this as detrimental to their business plan and billion dollar profits from foreign goods sales.
    Amazon manages millions of products in a multitude of locations worldwide. This product list shifts on a minute-to-minute basis and would become a nightmare to maintain.
    Besides, there are complete lists available on the internet for those who choose to be selective about their buying habits.
    Please bear in mind that these links are simply to websites of lists which are non-competitive to GB Auctions. Nothing is being sold and therefore is not in conflict with the Posting Rules.

    Very true - many searches would come up blank. But some wouldn’t. And having a “country of origin” filter would allow us to have an easier way to have a choice.

    Also true that Amazon sources / sells globally sourced items and might (probably) not want the filter. But who knows, if enough ask for it, they just might. As a corollary - MD (Put any blue state Name here) gun owners still lobby for their gun rights even though we’re pretty sure they have a “snowball’s chance” that the state will become a 2A friendly state... So why keep lobbying?

    We will miss 100% of the shots we don’t take.

    It costs absolutely nothing to send an email...

    You're looking at this from your perspective. Amazon has binding contracts with their international suppliers - but none with you.

    Government at all levels ran manufacturing out of the country over the last 50 years. Dont blame Amazon or any seller for this problem.

    I'd take an exclude China filter. That wouldn't hurt my feeling any. If we're determined to buy cheap foreign crap(and we are) there's plenty of other places that can make the stuff.

    Sure upsets me to order something, then find that they are ordering it from China several days after I place my order.  Takes about a month or more to get the order.

    Zactly, I ordered a couple of art projects for my wife and only after I ordered them it said they were going to arrive sometime in June and that was six weeks ago.

    Start buying stuff elsewhere, Jeff will get the picture.

    Someone needs to make and sell red white and blue "MAGA" masks, the requirement to wear a mask in public will end shortly after they become popular.
