THE, (well my), major issue with Amazon.

Their VIP's toured our Tractor Trailer Manufacturing plant a year and a half ago. Their proposal - we want this one particular assembly plant (ours) to manufacture 10,500 Trailers for us. (One years production.) I guess we were supposed to tell all our other clients "Screw You." The kicker, they wanted us to make the trailers at less cost than we were already doing business at. (??)
Our Management told them to kiss off.
Our Trailers are significantly lighter and more aerodynamic than most on the market. When that was pointed out to them, they stated "Our Drivers are contracted. We don't care what kind of mileage they get."
Sound like a Company you would like to do business with?

Well, I can remember when Sears was number one for 7 Decades, then K-Mart nearly put Sears out of business, then came Walmart which killed K-Mart, then Sears and K-Mart joined forces to take on Walmart which failed miserably.
Amazon is now number one and Walmart was late with internet shopping. Looks like Amazon is going to eventually make Walmart extinct. Gotta love capitalism.0 -

Wondering what kind of a commission fee Amazon charges it's vendors to sell their products????
I recently ordered from Amazon and the item was not being shipped and Amazon's site indicated to contact the vendor and the vendor told me they had no control over how Amazon shipped their products, etc, and to contact Amazon for any questions. Wow, what a answer, really??? I never did locate any info on-line for contacting Amazon about my order being lost or ????? (not any kind of CS info available????
Only thing I see was I could cancel the order. Few days later my order arrived by UPS with no notice it had even been shipped.
It's not all a Covid thingy. (with Amazon) They might be getting bigger than their Britches.0 -
I hate Amazon, and Fleabay, and Paypal. Commie outfits all, and I refuse to do business with any of them. I'll pay twice as much and wait twice as long to avoid these businesses. 0 -
Amazon policy is to tell customers whether an item is drop shipped by them (they just send the order to the real seller), or if it is "fulfilled" by Amazon from an Amazon warehouse. Probably just a clerical error in the way they listed the product Okie ordered. WHAT REALLY ANNOYS ME is that Amazon's policy is to give you the warranty information in the listing, but, in most cases, they just tell you to contact the seller or manufacturer to find out what the warranty actually is.EVEN MORE ANNOYING is that some products that they sell are described as genuine, but, in fact are really Chicom counterfeits. And, even after lots of buyer complain or return the counterfeits, they refuse to remove or correct the listing. I'm surprised that Moen didn't complain to CBP.Neal

A couple months ago (maybe 3) someone on here posted about a really good deal on a battery powered Porter Cable drill. Found out you had to be a Prime Member to get that price. Set it all up at on time, one order. Joined Prime and ordered the drill.
A few days later started getting E-mails, unable to process your CC, cancelling the order. No big deal. Until a couple months later was reviewing a bank statement and discovered Amazon had been charging my account $14.99/mo for my Prime membership. WTH? you can't process my CC for the item, but you can process it every month for $14.99 for Prime? I was not happy. A very underhanded thing to have done. I will never do business with them again for that act of deviousness.
I guess that is "good management," also.

that is exactly why I still run around town looking for the item I need, like Nunn I would much rather put a hand on a product, even if it costs more, before I buy it. The internet is a last resort, in my book and the more folks use it the less the local stores will carry on hand or even stay open, but each their own....... 0 -
Paypal sucks. I too cant stand them and it was Paypal that Effed up EBay. EBay has been trying to separate from Paypal but have not done so yet. I sold on Amazon for a while. Ten years ago, when you did not have to have to pay a monthly fee. Costs then were about 8-10% and they dictated the shipping cost , so I lost a bit there. But I had boxes of the same thing to move, that I had next to nothing in as far as cost.Went back later and there was a $35.00 monthly fee to sell, plus 12-15% of final sale. I added my own shipping.Did Ok, until I got a couple of returns, what a mess, that killed the whole thing.
