A fine young man!   And he had that scholarship to MIT in Aerospace Engineering, if only those Klansmen hadn't blown him away.

He was no angel but those white guys screwed up.   You can go accost the guy, fine.  If you really feel necessary, have the .38 in your back pocket.  But you have no proof of a crime with this kid.  Bad deal, to confront him with a shotgun.

Not a saint for sure.  I don't know how many convictions he had though.  The fact is (as far as I have read) he had no outstanding warrants. It looks like the only thing he could be charged with would be trespassing.  It seems being chased down by 2 armed men and killed, one a former LEO of sorts, just seems a little harsh.

It was just a matter of time.  Crime starts easy.. shoplifting, then gets worse and they get more stupid.

I thought this country was suppose to be  country of laws , that it was founded on the  principle that one is considered innocent until proven guilty.  Not shot down in the street by some cop , ex-cop or citizen  just because they need or want a little street justice

You shouldn't be killed for casing out a construction site. Ass whooped not killed IMO
They would come in the families recycling yard in Newark constantly, when confronted would say 'I was looking for a job".
Yeah right.  One I confronted said that turned and walked away.
Grabber a gas saw and ran.  I am a runner. Caught and knocked him down quick.
Was hard to steal with 2 broken hands afterwards.
Back in the 80's the NPD would high 5 you for being a good citizen.

Nosey neighbors often go into construction sites out of curiosity. This ounk was looking for objects of opportunity. Not a capital offense.

I would say he was a problem, but you can't shoot somebody like that and get away with it.  It does not help either he was an African American and the shooters were white.

Media runs with those stories, yes,  to create more racial divide. Sad but true. Now in Kentucky, Paducah, which is close to me an African brutally killed a Caucasian  special education teacher who was nothing but a gem on society. Our local station reported the murder but as I watched for the outcry on national slime, nary a peep and never will be. The media is a cancer, plain and simple.

Well they went about it wrong but in the end getting rid of him will save a lot of people a lot of grief in the future. Plus the cost of housing that SPOS for the rest of his life whether he's in the hood or in prison.

At least it's not about Trump or COVID. Everyone lost in that encounter. I see looting if they walk. Maybe even if they don't. Just another race baiting story for the media.
