Test firing the Government Model

I dissasembled that rusty Colt GM and cleaned her up a bit. Still have some finish work but the inside looked pretty good so I put her back together and took her to the house to test fire. It has been maybe 15 years or more since I have shot her but she ran like a top. I ran several mags of old military ball and a couple of Hornady 230 gr +P with the sharp nosed XTP hollow points and put a lot of holes in a Mountain Dew bottle. This is the only Colt 1911 I still own. Think I will keep her. :)

    Pretty much what I was wondering.

    Personally, I like Mtn. Dew. I would never shoot them. You can't figure them NC boys. 🙄
