Ruger PC 40 Review
Picked it up yesterday afternoon. I can sure say Ruger knows how to use oil on a firearm. Took it apart and cleaned it before firing. Changed out the magwell to a Gloooock and I had ordered 4 15rd Glooook mags instead of using the mag supplied in a Ruger.. ( they are more money to buy ). Fired some 180 gr at 50 yd and had to adjust slide ghost ring up from the factory put it. Got back to 75 yd freehand and they shot well. This morning tried some 165 gr white box winchester. They shot better , didn't drop as much of course and kept a pretty tight group. I am not going to install a red dot on it, the ghost ring rear sight does well. Now for some experimentation of the hotter Underwood 155gr loads in a few days. I expect them to shoot pretty flat. Gun comes apart to fit in my HK shotgun hard case and can store 11 15rd mags . Very satisfied with it, recoil is nothing.

Shot a 9mm 2wks ago, and with some of the crap quality control I've seen from Ruger in the past few years, the PC9 was a surprising exception. There's not much of the new fantastic plastic I'm impressed with.
Well thought out design, simple and functional, takes Glock mags, quick take down, charging handle can go on either side, and pic rails for sights and lights. Shot anything we fed it, and 100yrds with a TRS-25 red dot, hit everything it was pointed at. Every one that shot it had the same comment, "They need to make this in .45acp!".0 -
Sounds a lot like the Beretta Storm which is made in .45 0 -
No problem taking this thing hog hunting or deer hunting. I highly doubt Ruger will make it in .45 since the .40 is out. Out of a 16" barrel they hum along pretty well in either cal. The .40 shoots flatter.
