Went flying today
Buddy is working on his pilots license and I got to ride along. I've been telling myself I need to get mine for years now. I think I will start this summer. It is beautiful being able to look to the horizon.

Yep, great fun. I was about 10-12 hours away from getting my license in 1989. Spotted owls were listed on the endangered species list, and I got married, all in the same summer. I have not been back in a plane since. 0 -

I miss it a lot. Haven't flown a plane since 1978, when it got too expensive while raising daughters. I could afford it now but at age 73 there have been way too many changes in aviation and I'm just not willing to virtually start over to get re-qualified. 0
