Do you clean your grocery store purchases?
Since this china virus started I cleaned up the table on our back porch to use as a decontamination station. I suit up with nitril gloves, and a mask, take out a bottle of alcohol and some shop towels and thoroughly wipe down everything my wife brought home before it enters the house.
I have several issues that put me at a high risk, including diabetes, so I can't afford to take any chances.
Do any of you take similar precautions?

No. I also refuse to wear a face mask. I did buy a face mask at the Exxon one day, for two bucks. I was headed to the liquor store and I feared they might require a mask for entry. Thankfully I did get into the liquor store and make my purchase without the mask. 0 -
Two years from now they will discover this stuff being sprayed everywhere causes cancer. 0 -
Or, maybe this crap we spray things with causes Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome. (It has affected hundreds of children in the US, but hasn't been seen in any other part of the world.)Neal

After returning home from the market, my mother would rinse fresh fruits and vegetables in the sink with cold water. I've always done the same. Otherwise, no special decontamination process. 0 -
I did for a couple of weeks. What I did notice is that when I was cleaning off the top of canned goods, my bleach cleaning rag was getting pretty dirty! 
Guess I will continue cleaning canned stuff from now on. Not because of any virus though.0 -
Yep. Always have wiped things down, as the stuff can get pretty dirty en route to the store. Lately, though, our process has been:
1. Pick up the gorcery order (i.e. stand back while the Walmart folks load the trunk)
2. Take out the cold stuff and wipe down immediately.
3. Everything else just stays in the car a couple of days. Then it gets wiped down.0 -

I'm probably worse off then you, simple truth I get I die. I also doubt if your surrounded by 1.5 million people.
I wear a mask when I go to the grocery store. I live within 6 blocks of the second worst infected zip code in the city. That means there is a good percentage of those folks using the same grocery store. I will not start cleaning off my purchased goods other then washing off the dusty tops of some of the canned goods if they appear dirty.0 -

Oh, hell no. But next time I get Jehovah's Witnesses at the door, I'm going to ask them to strip down naked so I can wipe them down. 0 -

Nope, never did and not starting now, same for the "mask", but if you choose to it is no problem for me. Half the reason for our sickness it being too clean. Everyone is too clean. Our body creates it's own defense but we keep killing it off bleach, lysol, antibiotics, you name it. Take a dose of augmentin for a week and see what happens to the ole bod then. Us unguns would play and on occasion eat dirt I am sure, cow and chicken poop was abundant to.By the way I guess I fit the high risk crowd to.Joke alert.Gal goes to bar and asks for a drink. Bar tender reaches into ice machine for ice. Lady says don't use your hands, use the ice tongs. Bartender says my hands are all but sterile, I use my hands to wash the glasses in hot soapy water, they are clean. I don'tcare use the tongs, OK I will he said. By the way she says your hands aren't always clean, you go to the bath room and and have to unzip you pants and take care of things. Bartender say you are correct but I use the tongs. Ya'll be careful out there.

I work in a major Texas grocery store.............and no........since I am stocking all day long, I see no point in trying to wash my own stuff that I buy 0 -
I live about 100 miles from the town I shop at. A quick trip to the store is not a option. Also I always shop the sales. I don't wash canned food or food with long storage. I mark the expiration date and rotate. By the time I get to the food any virus should be dead. Fresh veges get washed. Most also get cooked. 0 -
This "thing" can't live on room temp non-porous surfaces for the length of time it takes me to drive home. Grouch Attack doesn't "clean" ANYTHING. Went to town for stuff yesterday. After putting the groceries in the back seat but before I could start the pickup, she'd dragged out a package of snack bars and ripped into it. Cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation are all secondary to gorging. 0
