You should try the Tail of the Dragon, Hwy 129, at the Tennessee and NC state line. One section has 318 turns in a 11 mile stretch.

First time I drove on it was when my wife and I went to get married in Robbinsville, NC back in the 60s. I thought I was going to wear out a set of new tires on my '64 Mercury Comet. You can meet yourself going around some of those curves.

Everyone who rides needs to do the dragon at least once . Unbelievable riding . Some of the hotdogs who pass you will scare you to death

I hate the Dragon. Too many people and they vary from full blown race bikes and cars to brand new motorcycle riders going 20 mph to fools who stop in the middle of the road to look at the pretty flowers. Lots of wrecks and I hate blind corners anyway. I'm much more comfortable in fast sweepers where I can see what I'm gonna hit. Go to Suches, Ga and ride the roads there like Wolf Pin Gap. Two Wheels Campground is still there I guess and was a really cool place to stay.

Went out for first ride a couple weeks ago on a day when it was about 75, nice riding weather.  Looks like I might be doing more riding this year as most other travel will be out of the question.  Trying to decide to ride down to visit BIL in Knoxville.  If I do make the visit I will try to ride rhe Dragon as I have many friends who have already done it.  If I do the Dragon I will do it early in the morning.  I agree with Ricci I hate the kind of traffic he described when on the bike.

I have been on the dragon a couple of times, 1st time outa curiosity the 2nd was because friends wanted to hit it , so I went along. as said above too many idiots on the dragon. but I will say that some one has done a great job advertising that place. it"s like flies on chit from one end to the other . and every fool ( future organ donor  ) that owns a sport bike thinks they are the only one on it , so be ready for them to come at you loosing their lane and taking your lane head on.

Wow beautiful scenery, it's almost like builders had bikes in mind when they made that road.
