People with no clue how a mask works, when to wear one, how useless it really is AMAZES me.
Every time I've been out lately I've noticed people wearing masks who didn't need to wear one....... walking alone on the side of the road.....in their cars by themselves.....its like their brains have totally shut down and they don't realize they aren't near people at all. The fact that they've pushed this whole mask thing so far annoys the crap out of me. A fabric mask isn't going to do ANYTHING to keep a virus away and the only real thing these would be good for is to keep sick people from coughing their disease broadly into the air and the droplets from landing on every surface around them. As far as these things keeping a virus under control......HELLO......not happening!
I keep seeing memes on Facebook pointing out how you can smell a fart that wasn't controlled by a pair of pants, but this little square of fabric is supposed to keep a virus away????
Jimmy (Realspeed) sent me a picture of a drive through where the cars were all spaced really far apart.....social distancing your car from other cars......we are surrounded people. I feel like we are losing this battle against "the stupid" and its so sad to see.

I was in Lowe’s the other day, wearing all my PPE. In the self check out, the lady in front of me left a bag of her items on the table. I caught up with her in the parking lot and handed her the item. She took it with an amazed look. As I walked away, I heard her say “ Who was that masked man? I wanted to thank him.” 12 -
Went through Mickey D's the other day, wife must needs a sweet tea. I asked for a ice cream cone. No can do, I guess they could not load the cone without touching it. Low and behold the fellow in front of me hands his smart phone through the window to the clerk, clerk scans the thing and hands it back, easy pay or something. That beat all as he had most likely snotted his phone, passed the snot, then right along to all that followed.Another instance of STUPID, the lady at the the grocery store was wiping the cart handles and when caught up she would bag groceries. It was a cold day and she said my hands are frozen. Guess what she did, same thing when our hands get cold, cup them and blow warm air into them, not once but several times, sheesh. She kept on sacking like always. I wonder why I am still alive and to beat all there are no positive cases of the bat flu in the county.

A mask won't prevent the wearer from contracting the virus. However it may limit the broadcasting of the virus when someone sneezes or coughs. I don't wear a mask anyplace but in stores. I figure it makes other customers and the employees feel better, so why not do it.? Allergy season is upon us and if someone sneezes I would just as soon they had a mask on. It won't totally alleviate the risk but can reduce it somewhat. I am in the danger zone age wise and also take Humira which can screw up my immune system, so I guess I have to be more prudent than some. I agree with you that we do need mask wearing classes because as I stated in another post - half the population are so stupid they can't the their own shoes, let alone wear a mask properly. Bob 3 -
I do understand businesses requiring people to wear masks, being cautious in crowds, all that.....its just that I do NOT understand how someone can think they need to wear one in a car by themselves or walking outside when they are not near anyone. 3 -
Stupid people! The walk among us and they outbreed the rest of the world . Oh and they vote democratic

Ever see someone hike a luggie out the window? Need a hazmat suit if you are walking along the road and get in the drift.Even worse can you imagine be on a murdercycle and get hammered in the face. Yuck, again I still don't see how we are still alive after all these years.

20 years in law enforcement and I know exactly how many people are really, really stupid.
My amazement is how many people can actually walk and chew gum at the same time.0 -
Went to the post office the other day. Dozens of people standing in line, each six feet apart, some with masks, some without. The only idiot working the counter is refusing to touch anything a customer hands to him. Instead, he's using a pair of kitchen tongs to handle everything. Do you know how hard it is to get change out of a cash register drawer using kitchen tongs? So, I'm standing there waiting when this old coot wearing a mask comes busting through the door. He not only hits me with the door, but then begins to hit me and the other people in line with his cane. The idiot behind the counter refuses to do anything, so most of us left, which is what the old coot wanted. On the way to the my car I watched as another old coot, wearing a mask in his car without anyone else, opens his car door so his little dog can get out and take a dump right there in the parking lot!
Another idiotic pattern of behavior that I've seen that amazes me is that one particular group of people seem to think that when you wear a mask, you don't need to have the mask cover you nose as well as your mouth. Like.... why bother?0 -

Meanwhile in San Diego a guy used a Klan mask to go shopping.0 -
It's also sad that these weak upstairs ones get to vote.
In the future instead of scanning for a Covid fever at the voting polls they need a IQ scanner and a automatic reject zone on the scanner. (when it detects a democrat just go ahead and reject the voter)0 -
Need to reinstate the rules requiring voters to have some idea of who/what they are voting for and proving they are a LEGAL CARD CARRYING USA TAX PAYER to vote 0 -
I finally got a haircut yesterday. Had to wait in my truck until the barber let me in (one customer at a time), had to fill out a form stating I felt ok, hadn't been around anyone who felt bad, hadn't been out of the country lately, etc. After signing the bottom line, I had to go wash my hands and wear a mask while my hair was being cut. So a 10 minute haircut turned into about a 20 minute one. If it wasn't for my wife I would have just buzz cut it myself! I did tip her $10, she has been out of work for over a month and a half. 0 -
Yep, saw it yesterday when I traveled out to buy animal and people food. I saw folks in their vehicles with masks on, folks with their masks just covering their mouths. Just shake my head and continue with my shopping. What gets me is the pin pads with the plastic over them. So, instead of everyone touching the pin pad they are touching the plastic. One can only hope that the plastic is to keep the store clerks from directly spraying disinfectant on the pad which would screw up the electronics. 0 -
The efficacy of cloth masks is questionable (in that there have not been extensive studies done on them), but there is no question they prevent droplet spread which is the primary vector.

My wife dressed up as Aunt Jemima many years ago for Halloween, shot our chances for the white house for sure. 0
