A combo dark meat/bar b q plate from Smithfield's Chicken and Bar b q in Ogden, N.C. A good vinegar base pig and the fried chicken are both top notch as is the slaw and potato salad.

We were the same with the "Family Special" from Panda Express the other day. Three entrees and two sides for $20 and there must have been five pounds of food there. Would have fed at least four people. We got two huge meals out of it and ended up tossing some of it because it would not have stood up to a second reheating. 0 -

Smithfield has the best chicken and barbecue around so far as a “chain “ restaurant goes . Closest to the house is about a 20 mile run for me .

we ate at this BBQ joint, Southern soul barbeque, in Saint Simons Island, last summer. Best BBQ we ever had, bar none. We waited in a line for about an hour, just to order our take out. One plate was enough for three people. 0 -

Best Fried Chicken I've had comes from Cookies at the Theodosia Marina. They had shutdown for the pandemic but recently re-opened curbside delivery. Order their 1/2 Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn the other night - mmm mmm good. 0
