The Georgia shooting
Looks like a bad shoot & the dip-sticks trying to make a “citizen arrest” got in over their head.

Yep, I was not there but looks like they were way out of line. 0 -
Yeah, "deadly force" when there was no violent crime observed is a mite over the top. They need to be put away for a long time (and it won't be fun given that they're former LEO's and killed a black man. Two big strikes against them!)
And it gives the "gun haters" more things to holler about.0 -
looks bad on film and just based on it , I have heard " three" now the one who went with them chasing down the fellow and filmed it may get dragged in as to why he was going after the guy also and the local LEO for calling it self defense when it happened . it will be another media field day .
but agree with other comments when a black kills a white(s) or LEO not much news or uproar back page if that news like its accepted as going to happen nothing to see here . but when its reversed a non black or LEO kills a minority every news outlet plays it to the hilt even the president chimes in and of course the " lottery win" for the family
do not get me wrong I do feel bad and sad for the loss of any innocent victim(s) and there friends and family no matter there race were all suppose to be equal , I just hate the double standard0 -
IMHO, I will wait for the facts from the grand jury and AG investigation before believing lying, political and untrustworthy media.

The "victims" Facebook page was sanitized of gang crap on it shortly after the shooting.
Gang signs and guns. But that's now hidden.
I wonder why?9 -
The father, of the father/son duo, was a retired investigator for the DA's office. Took three prosecutors to finally charge him.
I don't care what the victim had on his social media pages. He didn't deserve to be gunned down in the street.
Yahoos like these two give gun owners a bad name.
I hope they put them both in General Population.3 -
This happened right outside of Saint Simons Island, where we vacation. Very disturbing video and case. I will reserve judgement until it is over. A couple years back, maybe 3 or 4???, They had a shooting, where a black kid, shot a baby in a stroller, in a stickup that went wrong. Almost started a riot. If you have ever been to Brunswick GA, it is very racially divided. We have a few friends that live there and know both families. They are mostly taking the side of the shooting victim. My one friend has a charter fishing service, as does the shooter in this case. He said that boy is a real yahoo, as is the father.Ditch-Runner said:looks bad on film and just based on it , I have heard " three" now the one who went with them chasing down the fellow and filmed it may get dragged in as to why he was going after the guy also and the local LEO for calling it self defense when it happened . it will be another media field day .

Here is a video from the Atlanta Journal Constitution. This shows events just prior to the shooting. Shows the black kid walking into, and around, a house that is under construction. He is checking out this house for 3 1/2 minutes.

Two decades ago I was new to the NC mountains. I learned that my 48 acres is prime land for growing ginseng. And ginseng was going for $400 a pound.
I started planting ginseng. After 3 years I had quite a big crop of it. One Sunday, I had been out of town for the weekend, we came back up to the mountain on a Sunday afternoon and when I let the dog out of the truck she started for the woods, barking loudly. I went down there, somebody had just looted my ginseng crop. Stolen a couple hundred plants. On the way up, I had seen an old red rusted out Ford Ranger parked on the side of the road a mile from my house.
I knew that truck was the vehicle of the ginseng bandits.
I called 911 and the cops said they would come on out.
But I figured they wouldn't get there in time. I told my girlfriend I was going down there and catch them myself. She said "You ought to take the pistol."
And I said, "I am not going to shoot someone over some ginseng plants. And, if they want to shoot me, then I will say, as Breaker Morant said, "Shoot straight you bastards and don't make a mess of it."
So I went down there, the guys came out of the woods, there were two of them, and they were just handing me back my ginseng when the cops arrived. They got locked up and each guy had to pay a $400 fine.0 -
I used to have to go to Brunswick, GA, cause we had some Gulfstream Aircraft had a repair shop there and they had bought some equipment from my company. F.L.E.T.C. , the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center is just across the street from Gulfstream. Small town. 3 -
Their problem is they chased down an unarmed person to shoot him
6 -
They lost control of the arrest.
If they had not, they'd be facing assault with a deadly weapon charges instead of murder.
Former LEOs should have known better. That's another reason why they might have set out to murder him.3 -

Noone goes jogging in work boots.
Bingo.
3 -
Judging these men based on liberal media selective video displays is wrong, wrong, wrong. There will be a lot more evidence. Wait for it. 3 -
Those guys are in trouble......even if they don't get a conviction (with a self defense claim) they will be bankrupted with legal fees. 6 -
A video from inside the house he was casing seemed to me to show untied, low cut basketball shoes.Catmandon1 said:Noone goes jogging in work boots.

So perhaps this kid was casing the joint for a future break-in. OK, so maybe he could have been charged with trespassing, but grabbing guns and chasing him down seems a little harsh. I probably can't spell "vigilante" correctly but this sure sounds like it. If they would just had some rope and a tall oak tree nearby, not a shot would have been fired. 3 -
Did you see the video?
Arbery was running along the right side of the road. The video was taken from a car following the shooters' pickup. It shows him running, then the camera swings to the right, then when it swings back to the front, the pickup has stopped, the driver side door is open, the driver is still on the left side of the vehicle but out in front of the front bumper, and Arbery has apparently run full tilt from the right side of the front of the pickup to the left and attacked him.
To me it looks like whether they were going to lynch him or question him or something else, he freaked out and attacked. Whether they lynched him probably would depend on how threatening and provocative they were being. It would sure be handy if the video had audio and we knew what was being said.
They probably should have just gotten some clear pictures of his face and let him run on though.0 -
Bottom line (based on available info) - there appeared to be no imminent emergency/threat to life that warranted arming up and actively pursuing and engaging the guy themselves. If you initiate a confrontation.....you own the consequences. 6 -
"lynched him"?? I thought he was shot. 0 -
in our small town i remember going up to several houses under construction ...just to LOOK.......once years ago was an addition to a frame house with the stud wall, flooring, and rafters up and a sudden summer rain popped up while both the owners were at work...i looked and cut out a section of doorway sill board, took a broom and swept as much of the water out as possible and went home to bring back a 42" shop fan to dry the flooring out....maybe looking today is a criminal action 3 -

That's a big part of the problem, and the other part is the coverup by their thin blue line friends.3 -
Two men make a judgement call based on incomplete information, and a man ends up dead. How incomplete the information we don't know. Now, thousands of people have convicted these men with many of them calling for a death sentence based on incomplete information, how incomplete we don't know. 0 -
Lots of opinions here... Let’s wait till the verdict is in and the riots start...

You can't kill someone because of something they MIGHT do, particularly if they're unarmed. He may have been "casing" the house but there was no violent crime nor threat of imminent death to the shooter. Those guys are toast. 3 -
"...the coverup by their thin blue line friends."
LOL. Someone is stupid enough, or biased enough, to believe that a police investigator will risk losing his career and going to prison to cover up a homicide. LOL again.6 -
Where are you getting your info? CNN MSNBC?Mr. Perfect said:sharpshooter039 said:Their problem is they chased down an unarmed person to shoot him

Should they be saying blacks are being gunned down for jogging?
Those guys are probably going to turn out to deserve some jail but it's because they weren't careful enough with a burglary suspect's rights, not because black men are being gunned down for jogging.0 -
Bad shoot. Especially in this double standard world.
This does NOT make d-rat national news as this is a daily occurrence in their s*** holes that they hide for the rat agenda.
https://www.fox29.com/news/elderly-couple-killed-in-delaware-cemetery-shooting-identified
Gang s*** on your FB page taken down IMMEDIATELY after it's been discovered - is a cover up.
Same as the rat media using a High school pic and NOT the mug shot from months ago.
No national coverage here. I wonder why???0 -
https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/08/us/ahmaud-arbery-mcmichael-arrests-friday/index.html
I'm shocked rat news actually had this:
"The Brunswick News has reported Arbery was indicted for allegedly bringing a gun to a 2013 high school basketball game when he was 19. Family attorney Lee Merritt has acknowledged Arbery's 2018 arrest on shoplifting charges. But any reference to "alleged conduct from high school or shoplifting is absurd and has nothing to do with his murder," Merritt said."
Brought a gun to school + other typical BS.. It matters to many responsible people but not the excuse makers
Shouldn't be shot just for casing a place out though.0 -
Reserving judgement till all the facts are in . On the face of it , based on the video they sure seem to be in the wrong . We will wait and see how it plays out .
