I live in Washington County on the Vermont border. We got four inches last night.  They say don't plant anything until Memorial Day.

About 1/2 inch on everything here in WNC above 3500 feet Saturday morning.  Most likely saved the plants and fruit from a sure freeze.
36 this morning so looks like we missed the blackberry winter freeze.

Wow, here in the PNW we had 86° yesterday in inland Grays Harbor. I don't know if that's a record, but the temperature sure shot up in a hurry. Supposed to be a little cooler today, 83° or so. Nice break from the 100" of rain we get in a year though.

We have recorded hard freeze as late as May 15 in Northern Utah. This April was the driest ever recorded (I got only 0.56" compared to 4.52" last April.) Today will be almost 20 degrees above average, topping 80.
This is known as weather. Weather and asterisk happens.

28°-30° last night. Hard freeze/frost. Extreme NE TN/W NC.

Very familiar with Monroe, NY, Binghamton, NY. Area. Spent lots of time backpacking in the Catskills. Volunteer DEC Ranger for the Balsam Lake Mtn. Firetower. (Our group of prior service military, pretty much rebuilt/refurbished the Firetower and the mountaintop cabin, in our own time. Bonus was unlimited access and keys.) Lots of good times there. Many overnights spent there. Night hikes by snowshoe and headlamps to get in, etc. 4200' elevation. Killer views. Super remote.

You guys know the West Milford, NJ/Greenwood Lake NY, Warwick, NY area? Lived there for about 20+ years. Owned a 1947 Chestnut log cabin on Greenwood Lake. Almost exactly on the NY/NJ line. More up close and personal Bear encounters than anywhere I've ever lived. (Lived on Bearfort Ridge.) Only Bear fatality ever recorded in NJ happened about 2 miles from my house, a couple years after I moved back down South.

I helped manage Campmor in Paramus NJ, for about 20+ years.

The only thing I can say is I'm sorry for your conditions. I dislike snow with all my heart having been raised in the upper Midwest.

This whole week has been 85 and sunny with a wonderful breeze to take a little of the edge of the all this direct sunshine. The mommy quail has all her babies in the field behind me but they will also visit the bird bath I just filled up. She loves to splash in the water.
Never fear though. All this cold and snow will be gone before you know it and we'll be complaining about the heat and drought.
    Best.
