A huge fan. Been watching a marathon today. Good stuff.

My mouth waters when watching this show. (Killer stuff/places.)

If you can not learn something watching this show, I don't know what to say.

    Well there's no sports, and our family can only handle so much pandemic news, so we've been locked into that show quite a bit. Going to flavor town now.

    Been watching it for a long time now. [Many years.] (My Son out West also.)

    Killer food items/recipes offered up. Awesome show.

      Like it and got some tips on where to go for some BBQed shank. Went to this place in TX he went to and it did not disappoint.

    We "found" a place up at the lake, Watermark Bar an Grill, so far the coleslaw, 1/2 pound burgers, Chopped steak and Chicken fingers have all been homemade and excellent. Not sure of the seasoning they put on the burgers and chopped steak but that along with the obvious char grilling is delicious.
    Also got a place called Darrows Wood Cooked BBQ, the brisket is OOTW! The rest of the food is also excellent but the brisket man o man. I can see me gaining a couple pounds living up here

    For a long time, I made it a point to go to places shown on DD&D but out of nearly 20, found only one or two that were anything but ordinary. Most deserved the description "dive." One in Reno, Nevada had used needles and condoms in the parking lot. Now, I make a list of them wherever I'm going - so I can avoid them.

    I ate at a DDD bbq place in Salt Lake City and got sick. Puked in the bathroom before we left the parking lot. It was not good food.

    Mog-Isn't that just past Monks Corner?  Think my wife and I stopped there while furniture shopping :s   Ever try "Martha Lou's Kitchen"?  Just North off 17 on Morrison Dr. (or East Bay).  You'd love it.  One of his TV shows awhile back was at the "Tattooed Moose" just down the road from Martha' Lou's.  Stay sell.

    To be fair, food show hosts like those two and Andrew Zimmern have to taste so much during filming - including all the "takes" we don't see - that they simply can't afford to swallow most of it. Zimmern sometimes says to the camera that he takes two small bites, and that's it.

    You're going to have to explain the "thief" accusation, FCD. Maybe you know something I don't. Zimmern was a drug addict and an alcoholic until he got into the restaurant business as a cook in New York City. He advanced to a senior chef and he's been clean for decades. He moved to Minnesota after he got the TV series. I give him kudos for sobriety and enjoy his show very much. His show got kicked off of the Travel Channel because he made a joke about Midwestern chefs, or something like that. The network was not amused.

      I think Zippy Zimmer mad some comments about Trump on his "show" and that was part of his undoing. I heard it and never watched it again.

    Ah well, during his drug days he may have done pert' near anything. He's seen the wrong side of bars - both kinds. All in the past. I only wanted clarification, no apology needed. I'd share a meal with him any time - and any thing.
