went to our church service this AM. First service since this nonsense began!!

My wife and I had coffee/snack duty this morning at our little church so we got there about an hour and 15 minutes before the service started.  Six men were all ready there getting the music and readings set up and rehearsed.   Service went really well.  Well attended, good sermon, great music and people happy to be back together for Christian fellowship!   Except for one person, not a mask in sight!  My wife was harping on me as we were driving to church that we were going to wear masks.  I finally said if everybody has masks I will play nice and wear mine but I said the group of people we go to church with there wont be a mask in sight.  Julia, of course, explained to me that not everyone is as stupid and bullheaded as I am.  We walk in.  Six men, no masks.  We make eight, than another couple walk in, no masks.  Julia's mask never left her purse.  My mask never made it out of my pocket.  

Why is it women do not react well to "I told you!"     :)

    We attend a fairly good sized Church that has three campuses. We are still streaming our services.

    We had been streaming our services but decided it was time to go "live"!  Best part of the "stay at home" services was being joined by 2 daughters who live 650 miles away.  That and scratching Border Collie ears during the service!!

    We had live streaming services during the shutdown, but it was much better to actually be in services this week.

    Last church service I was at was a memorial for the mother of a good friend last year.  Otherwise, I have not been to an actual church service since I was in college.  I figured out in high school that the house of god was not in any church I was ever in.  I prefer being outdoors, the real church.  Your experience may vary.  but I am not sure why...

    We had our first in person church service today.  It was outdoors beside the building, so we could maintain distance.  It came off well.    And...worship of the creation and worship of the Creator are very different things.

    It was great to be back in our usual church today.  Had attended another church that opened last Sunday as ours was closed.
