Me, and no truck, nor parts or pieces have surfaced.
It may be south of the border with dingle balls in the windows and mariachi music blaring out of the radio.

Phoenix PD, got it back after 6 weeks. Soon as the felon put a new battery in it, activated the GPS. It was still driveable. In fact, I kept it another 4 years. Only things that irked me, was that my truck gun was never recovered. And the insurance appraiser laughed at me, when I went in to file my claim.
I've had the same thing happen, when I had a fatal with Mrs elk one night. I truly hate, insurance appraisers.0 -
Me
, in 1980 over in Montgomery, Al. while asleep at the Ramada Inn, brand new pickup....special order, it was found the next day just South of Birmingham on I-65 but it took the LEO's almost 3 months to notify me
. When I retrieved it there was absolutely no damage and it was clean as the day I bought it. I had blank checks & other important papers in there (my rolling office) so it was a big hassle for me to cancel / change everything and there were many items I didn't miss until several weeks went by, items you just don't think about. NOTE: insurance companies are very slow to pay off on stolen new vehicles due to thinking you may have ditched a lemon in a river to get out of the deal.0 -
My BIL had his pickup stolen 6 or 8 years ago, he had just filled it up, and made a stop to give one of his coworkers keys to some county equipment. Walked back out to the driveway and it was gone.
Found a couple days later by Montana Highway Patrol just east of Billings on the side of the freeway, out of fuel. No tools stolen, nothing bothered. Thief had drank an energy drink and left empty was the the only sign of being there, just drove until it was out of fuel. We figured thief was someone headed back to "the Rez".
BIL had to pay the tow bill and storage as they of course couldn't get the out of fuel diesel started and towed it.
I've had hopes of my case being similar, but after a month, those hopes are waning.

SOB got my 2007 King ranch last month.... disappeared from my front drive on a Friday night w/16' trailer.... Recovered and had it back home on Tues. PM.. Sheriff has thief in custody.. he was out on bail for auto theft when he took mine???? no trailer no tool box, interior trashed.... Diesel running hot, It's at my mechanics now.. From there it has to go to the body shop for dent, decals etc. Man do I hate a thief.... I have good insurance so it should all work out ..Just really a pain in the ass...

Sorry about the misfortune, at least you got something back.
I am going to send you a PM, detailing how mine was initially handled by the local PD and would like to see a comparison. Needles to say I am not impres0
