Got a side by side today
Not the shotgun type either. '08 Club Car 1550SE. Diesel, 4x4, 220 hours on the clock. Dude had it idling next to a pond and forgot to set the brake. Rolled in the pond damaged the engine. Sounds like it bent a rod. Real common Kubota and parts are available. Gonna pull the engine and do a full rebuild. Paid $500 so I can put a few dollars in it.

also in a pond is better then one a old buddy had to pull a skid steer of a cow manure holding pit eeewwww3 -
Oh Susie it was a fantastic deal. I bought it expecting to do a full engine rebuild. Estimating $900 for parts, machine shop work, and 20ish hours of my time. Similar ones are selling for $5k+ in good shape. Guy didn't want to screw with it and I can always use a good side project. I'm excited! Been wanting one for a few years. 3 -

You sure that is a Kubota, and yes Kubota most always makes good stuff.Figured it out, made by Club Car but with a Kubota engine.That thing is longer than cold weather. AND I was expecting to see and nice L C Smith. Ha.

It's OK for puttering around on fairly solid ground. I've used a "Bota" dsl UTV in the past and it's sure not "quick and nimble" even when it's not a stretched 2 seater. In this case, a dsl powered golf cart is certainly well up on the novelty scale. Hope it works for you. 0 -

After a month long delay on some parts I finally got her together and a few hours in the seat. I'm impressed. Really impressed. It won't get you where you are going fast but it will get you there. Over logs, through the woods, up steep hills, this thing never spun a tire.
Tried to high center it on this nearly vertical 6' hill to flat ground and it climbed it without a problem. Curious to see how it handles the mud and snow this winter. I was thinking about selling it and finding a smaller one, but if it does well in the mud I will keep this "boat".Oh and the engine didn't need a full rebuild, one bent rod ,one rod bearing an a gasket kit. All the cylinders still had the factory hone marks in em.

Get a winch or a good come along. For some unknown reason those only get stuck when it's a long walk home. 3 -

Poorly designed and poorly constructed with inferior materials.Stuff falls off, cowling cracked, brakes failed, dash display shorted out, so many safety switches it won't go down hill, fuel filter inaccessible - way up underneath, tires leak, seat bracket fell apart, non-existent traction, ... I'm too tired to go on.And after it is out of warranty the customer is on their on. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$I need to dig, move earth and mow but it seems I spend 6 days working on the tractor and 1 day actually working it! I don't enjoy spending all my spare time trying to make their $20,000 mistake work..

You stole that. I got a Polaris 850 side by side from a man that had a heart attack and couldn’t go hunting any more. I thought I did ok when I bought mine but you hit the jackpot when you got yours. They will go anywhere’s.
