I can't find anything that indicates they set out with intentions to kill him. They did set out to confront him for reasons that seem to not be accurate, break ins in the area and they thought he was the one doing it. They should have been aware that an armed confrontation could lead to a bad outcome, which this one did. We will never know what the dead guy was thinking but I assume in his mind he had to fight for his life, which he justifiably did. Once the fight over the shotgun started it went bad and someone died. The people that confronted him were wrong to initiate the deadly force confrontation. The dead guy was not wrong to fight back, and had he been armed he would have been justified in using deadly force in return. The guys who initiated the encounter need tried by the state. Do they need the death penalty, how about we let the facts determine that.
Why did you use the term redneck? Was it meant to cause bias like when the media uses the terms racist and neo-nazi as they did in referring to the protesters in Michigan? I own my home and have a college degree, but because I'm white, drive a 4x4 pickup, hunt, fish and have a country accent I am often referred to as a redneck.9 -
i used this term because everyone now is PC labeled one way or another and these two certainly look and played that part...and that perked some interest....their own actions and comments, if accurate media, should convict them but we will see if justice will be served in less than 20 years..IE, the history of the Carr bros of wichita...another travesty that should give irritable bowel syndrome concerning our state justice system....annnd...i am white,farmed all my life raising FOOD, have 3 4x4 pickups, rural home, town home ,and a lake home , zero debt and have no desire to shoot anything but damm armadillos, diggin up the yard, and i do not look anything like American gothic.... if i were attacked while going down my rural road in broad daylight i would certainly respond and i carry all the time 0 -

Pretty sure the dead guy had a record that is conveniently not being mentioned in the media.
When he was in high school, Arbery was sentenced to five years probation as a first offender on charges of carrying a weapon on campus and several counts of obstructing a law enforcement officer. He was convicted of probation violation in 2018 after he was charged with shoplifting, court documents show.

Neighbor of father and son arrested in Ahmaud Arbery killing is also under investigation
Minyvonne BurkeNBC NewsMay 8, 2020, 11:42 AM EDTA day after the arrests of father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia, the head of a state law-enforcement agency said a neighbor who recorded a video of the fatal shooting is also being investigated.
Arbery, who would have turned 26 on Friday, was shot to death on Feb. 23 in Brunswick, a coastal city about midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, Florida, after being chased by Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis, 34, in their pickup truck.
Arbery's family says he was out jogging, while the McMichaels have claimed they thought he was a burglar.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the McMichaels were arrested on Thursday on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.
The agency's director, Vic Reynolds, said at a news conference Friday that a neighbor of the McMichaels, William Bryan, who took a video of the shooting is also being investigated but that any further arrests will depend on results of the probe.
"We're going to go wherever the evidence takes us," Reynolds said. "Let's say, hypothetically, if we believe tomorrow or in a week or three weeks there's probable cause for an arrest, then we'll do it. If we don't believe there is, then we won't."
He added that the video is a "very important piece of evidence."

South Carolina, Arkansas and Wyoming also have no such laws, according to a U.S. Justice Department website.
Arbery is black, and the McMichaels are white. It's not immediately clear if the McMichaels have obtained attorneys.
In the video of the shooting released by Lee Merritt, an attorney for Arbery's family, the young man is seen running down a road as a white pickup truck is stopped in front of him. Arbery runs around the vehicle, and a shot is fired. The video then shows Arbery and another man appearing to tussle as two more shots are fired.
NBC News does not know what occurred before the events shown in the video.
According to a Glynn County police report, Gregory McMichael armed himself with a .357 Magnum and his son grabbed a shotgun after Gregory saw Arbery "hauling ass" down the street. The older McMichael told police that he thought Arbery was a burglar who had been recently targeting the neighborhood.
The two McMichaels jumped into their pickup truck and, along with a neighbor, chased after Arbery.
When the men caught up to Arbery, there was a fatal confrontation. The GBI said in a press release that Travis McMichael shot and killed Arbery.

George Barnhill, one of the prosecutors who first handled the case, defended the actions of the McMichaels and their neighbor Bryan. In a letter to the Glynn County Police Department, Barnhill said that the McMichaels and Bryan had "solid first hand probable cause" to chase Arbery, a "burglary suspect," and stop him.
"It appears their intent was to stop and hold this criminal suspect until law enforcement arrived," he wrote.
Barnhill also noted that he watched the video of the shooting and said Travis McMichael "was allowed to use deadly force to protect himself" under state law because Arbery had initiated the fight and grabbed the shotgun.
The case was eventually handed over to District Attorney Thomas Durden in Liberty County after Barnhill and another prosecutor recused themselves because of potential conflicts of interest. Gregory McMichael is a retired investigator for the local prosecutor in Brunswick.
After taking the case, Durden asked that the GBI begin an inquiry Tuesday, and the bureau's Kingsland office started an investigation Wednesday.

I saw no justification for them to follow and trap the man, they should have called the cops. They also had zero evidence of a crime, only a suspicion without foundation or proof except the guy is black. Then they killed him. Sure sounds like murder to me. 0 -
I think they went too far when they tried to apprehend him. Following him and waiting for the police to arrive would have been okay. If the jogger took some violent action against while they were following in the car then they would have had more justification to defend themselves than what they did do. This is all just based on what I have seen and read so far. 0 -
on the face of it they do look guilty but there may be more to the story ? so I will wait to declare hanging them

The best thing the vic done was got killed for his people. I reckon they'll get a pay day but I don't see much cash. Unless they'll get the shooter's retirement payments and what ever they own. As for the ginger I doubt dude got much but he does have a purty mouth. I reckon both should off themselves to avoid the court and pop the dream of the vic's owning everything they worked for.

So why isn't the media held responsible for promoting stories like this when they don't often report when minorities or blacks kill whites?
Remember the same day or week Trevon Martin was killed, I think it was in Atlanta that 2 black guys killed a white Mom or her baby or some such crazy crime? And it got little to no press!!!
