I wonder how much my '94 Chevy Caprice that was "totaled out" for a fender bender is worth? That insurance paid out what I paid back in 2002 ($2500). Be cool if I can double dip or better yet, if they paid a dollar a pound. 0 -

Cars are a cost center, not an investment. Having Government pick winners and losers in business is unAmerican. Cash for clunkers was a failure, as is most Government programs. The Covid spending is no exception to this rule, it will come back to bite us in the butt. 0 -

Yes it was a joke. You could not save a part of any of the trucks being smashed. Now try an find a fender or tail gate to any thing older. Was such a mess tring to find a front bumper for my 88 F150. we made one. 0 -
A friend was the service manager at a ford dealership then . The vehicles he destroyed were ridiculous . Some very pristine cars and trucks . No legal way to rescue them . I agree big cluster #%<€*

Yep, try to find a good 454 core or a 12 bolt diff, near impossible.Worst part was people would drive in with a paid for vehicle, take the cash and go buy a new one on time with steep payments, after a few months and auto was repossessed they had nothing but bad credit.
