  killer bees or murder hornets who's gonna win?????  sorta the 9mm vs 45 of the insect world

    I have to go with the hornets. I've been hearing about the threat from the killer bees since I was in high school (Class of 78), and the bees haven't accomplished much in 40+ years. It's time for the hornets to step up.

      I think the hornets will eat the apples that were supposed to be poisonings humans  and wipe them out with the killer ants will come eat the hornets with the killer bees eating the ants.

    They'll have different territories and border skirmishes  will be frequent.   The killer bees are moving up from the south while the murder hornets have established their base in the north west.   Interesting times ahead.

    I don't know what else we can do. We must shelter in place until these hornets are no longer a threat! Beekeeper outfits will be required if you must go outside.

    i would be curious as to how well these hornets will do in extreme winter locations .. i doubt montana will be very conducive to their thriving here.

    Are these Canadian hockey teams - or what?

    I have to be honest.  I don't know that much about hockey.  I suppose the winner will be whoever scores the most touchdowns.

    Discusdad - that is exactly what I think when they show "projections" of the spread of the large snakes and reptiles spreading north. I just look and say to myself "I wonder how a rock python or a burmese are possibly going to survive a winter." Not going to happen.

    I say S GA. And LA are about as far north as they will make it and survive.

    I think that the best solution is to import Japanese bees.  The bees have evolved to withstand a slightly higher temperature that the hornets.  The bees cover the hornet with their bodies, & the combined body heat will kill the hornet, but most of the bees will survive.
