Any iPhone experts out there?

I have a iPhone 8 that is OK (I liked the size of my 5 better).  I use very little features but the "notes" feature is important to me.  Today I was adding a new note later, the title page showed on my list of notes as it should.  When I opened it I found only a blank  screen.  I thought I made an error with the new note but didn't.  All of my previous 65 notes show on my folder with but only their title page.  When opening, I get a blank screen.  This is serious guys.  Any thoughts?

  Are you seeing the notes both categorized as on your iPhone and stored in the iCloud?

  Maybe you are too far down that selection tree? And have to go up a level to see them??

  Thanks for the reply Bob.  I look at my folders and the cloud shows a couple of entries.  My notes folder under Prodigy (my decades old net provider) shows all 65 but none will open and give me any data. .

  I seem to recall something about Notes being deleted after a certain number of days. I think the Notes feature is intended as a place to jot down short term reminders to yourself, not a place to store information for extended periods.

  Thanks for the replies guys.  It turned out that what I needed was to install the latest OS.  I think I had turned off the auto update and I don't know how old the ver I had been running was. I now have auto update set.
