"He Would Rather Die."
Next up were the folks planning to move to Mars being led by Elon Musk. He seemed to concider this a splinded idea as one never knows when an astoriod might colide with earth or the sun burn out. The lady doing the interview asked about the plusability of anyone alive today being able to make the trip to Mars and how science didn't support it. The author shrugged off that inconvienent bit of info as irelivent saying that Musk was working on that.
My take on the interview is this moron has no skills except being able to work a computer keyboard to write baseless factless drivel to be consumed by other morons. Not only has he no skils but he fears and dispises anyone who does. He probably could not change a car tire, build a fire, or sharpen a dull knife if his life depended on it. As far as what his writing skills go I will probably never know cause I damn sure won't being buying his book.
My second observation is that these folks are deathly afraid of just about everything that is different from their everyday routine. They seem to form conclusions and then bend and mold "facts" to support the. If things do get really bad I don't think these folks will survive.

Sounds like a liberal tool with wool to me. 0 -

Liberal ars (step) daughter & son-in-law recently told my wife that if it got really tough, they were coming to our house, because we were prepared. Naive wife commented that, "Yes we have food." They answered, "No, Dad has guns & ammo." All of a sudden I'm "Dad." Before this I was just the curmudgeon who was shtupin their mother. 3 -
Thirty years ago when I was teaching college as an adjunct and trying to find a tenure-track position, I urged my students to listen to NPR. At the time, they covered a wide variety of topics that the main-stream media simply ignored. Today, I would never suggest that anyone should listen to NPR because those initials now stand for Nasty Partisan Rhetoric. They have beccome nothing more than a tool for the fools on the left. The shift to the left began under BJ Bill and was completed under Lying Barry. PBS is just as bad, if not worse. Frontline is basically run by the DNC. PBS might as well stand for Partisan Bull Sh.... 6 -
Should have told him to be nice 'cause the next time Germany decides to kick their asses those people he's talking about will be the ones that have to come and drag their sorry asses out of the fire again just like the last 2 times.Ricci.Wright said:He concluded with the statement that he would rather die than live amoung people like them.

When my local classical station switched to NPR talk radio I told them I would no longer be a supporting member since they had started playing "All Things Considered {from a liberal inside the beltway point of view}

Well put! My girlfriend turned me on to NPR back in 1978. As you said they covered a wide variety of topics that the main stream media ignored. I used to listen to Morning Edition for hours, as well as All Things Considered. Great shows, long, long ago.
These days I can't listen to them. Every six months or so I will turn them on, they can't go 5 minutes without tossing out a criticizsm of Trump. It is news, with a political twist! Just as bad as MSLSD, or CNN. Only difference, our tax dollars pay for NPR.3 -

I can't listen to NPR for more than a couple of minutes either. But I was curious about their revenue stream so I looked it up. From the NPR website:

Corporate Sponsorship Support
Covering the news requires significant resources. The funds NPR receives from corporate donors are an important part of the revenues that fuel NPR's in-depth reporting and programming, but only a part. The largest portion of NPR's revenue comes from dues and fees paid by our Member Stations.
Corporate sponsors cannot influence NPR's coverage. NPR journalists have no role in selecting corporate sponsors. Our journalists are trained in the ethics and practices of journalism which prevent outside groups from influencing their objectivity, story selection, and reporting. You can read the code of ethics in place at NPR here. When news warrants, we will report on the activities of companies that support NPR.
In essence, NPR does not acknowledge the receipt of any Tax Payers dollars., although last I heard we, the tax payers, contributed about 20% to their bottom line. Now, NPR being NPR as we all know it, is probably using some pretty keen bookkeeping strategies to keep some information under wraps. Personally, I don't trust anything they say or write. But the above is what is available to us.Best.0 -
Yep, pure lying DEMOCRAT sleaze, toss in CNN, MSNBC, CBS, WaPo, NYT and all the news agencies with it.dok2u said:Thirty years ago when I was teaching college as an adjunct and trying to find a tenure-track position, I urged my students to listen to NPR. I listen to NPR every morning just to get an idea of what Marxists think and keep my blood flowing. It is non-stop Trump Admin bashing, lack of tax funds for their pet peeve of the day and all that followed up by more Trump bashing. It is good to listen to these dolts so you can learn what the Marxists of the world think. Steve Inskeep is the worst of the worst followed by the talking head bimbos they have doing reports on how bad Trump is and how marvelous Joe Biden would be. 0 -
I agree with Ricci's dude from Dublin; I'd rather he died, too!
My advice to him "Make it so!".6 -

I agree. He most likely will be accommodated. 0 -
I am with Allen on this . Used to listen to npr because their reporting had no axe to grind . Sadly this is no longer so . BBC seems to do a fairly balanced job some of the time , just depends on the topic
