"Heck, I just figured out my truck is actually...white!".........................it must have rained :-) 0 -
I wax mine in the quarter car wash.
No work at all by just turning the little knob to "WAX" and bingo!
Must be some good stuff as water beads right off the windshield when I drive through rain storms.0 -
When I replaced the rusted out pickup bed with a flat bed the cab body was done too. The doors were fixed, fenders replaced, cab corners replaced and the whole shebang was sprayed with red Rhino-liner. Living 2 miles up a dirt road made it the easy choice for caring for the finish. It gets ignored, the rain washes it as clean as it is going to get. 0 -
My truck is a 2003. It's got about 76,000 miles on it. I used to wash and wax it back years ago by hand but today the new car washes, not the ones at gas stations, but rather the ones that tow you through the building that have the rubber type brushes that don't scratch the paint along with the swaying soapy drapes that wash the hood and top of the vehicle works as good as I can do it. And the wax they use works better than anything I used on it when I was doing it myself plus it sprays the undercarriage. The wax they use is like Rain-X on the windshield it just beads up and the wind blows it off if you get caught out in the rain.hillbille said:did something I never thought I would do. waxed my truck!!!! it is an old 2002 model...
