Sure hope they're not gonna be disappointed when they find out it can't be shipped to their doorstep.
Is that com- bloc pop-gun really worth that much?

No kidding. I had a  Tec 9 since the "non pandemic" and the auction is flooded with newbs. When he said just send "the machine gun" to his address I told him it wasn't a machine gun and it needs an FFL. He said he wasn't going to pay then, LOLOLOL.. After THREE non payers I got a call from some wheel on the auction side and we talked quite a bit. I stated that all the kids out of school were causing havoc. He admitted as such and just wanted my take on it. They said they gave them a pass for 3 weeks then but will be getting rid off what they could. First time ever I talked with a live person on GB.

I hope she gets paid but imo that's the current trend, buy high on some items and can't give away others.

Wow I remember them for less than $100.  No love AK, SKS, or AR here.

Yeah, I bought two of those still in cosmoline at an estate sale for $90 each several years ago. One, I turned at a gun show a month later for $175, the other one I cleaned up and shot the heck out of it. Finally sold it to a farmer friend for him to carry in his tractor. BTW, got permission to hunt and shoot on his farm in the deal.

Its getting harder and harder to find an all matching SKS in decent shape.    There were so many of them mangled out to get the 30 round mags in them that its driven the collectors into paying high prices to get one worth holding onto.    Back when I worked retail one of the most frustrating things was trying to teach some mouth breathing moron how to put the mags in these.   I don't know how many times I said "you're going to bring this back in here with the lips hammered down on the top of this mag and I'm going to tell you what an idiot you are for not listening to me."    It never failed......they'd come back saying there was a problem with their gun and the mag would be all messed up.   I don't miss those days at all.

       WOW
who would ever guessed a sks or even a AK  or for thet matter a ruger mini 14 would command more than a AR rifle
I remember cases and cases full of sks's at local gun shows 69.00 or 79.00 cleaned up even cheaper if you bought the case
even ammo was 69.00 a  1000 round case or so.
sad part I like many other's thought they will always be there and prices low  so never caught my interest ( well the fact I had zero dollars to buy them any way )  I did buy a few over the years and then sold them later on I only have one a Russia one still in its box with all numbers matching 1954 ? I think , it will end up with one of the sons

If you think about the manufacturing of the SKS, AK47, vs the AR15 and add in the fact that every machine shop with a "gun guy" in it started making AR15s you will realize that investing in the AR15s is a hard market to do well with.    You'll see less and less of the AK47s and SKSs as time goes on and I'm certain you'll have basement operations pumping out random runs of AR15s beyond my time here on earth.
