Our local VA cemetary has stopped the military honors.  They are limiting family to no more than 10 people.

just had friend of wife tell her about a family funeral last week, they allowed 10 folks into the funeral home for the viewing, but at the graveside they weren't allowed out of their vehicles!!!!   that is one I guess they would have to arrest me for, I am not paying my last respects from the car

Anyone else having problems posting New Discussions?

I type a few words, then it goes to the same blocks going left to right you see, before it allows you to Edit. My Tablet locks up, everytime. Seeing nothing but the left to right enhanced blocks. Can only back out. Things lock up.

Can post a few words, enter submit, then have to go in and edit, to finish my sentences. Anyone else been seeing this, or Just Me?

wondered about the original post, you sort of left us hanging,,,,   sounds like a glitch on your internet end though I am far from an expert...

but back to original question, don't they now freeze the bodies awaiting burial? for up to 3-4 months or so, I thought they had a small service when body arrived, but the actual burial was delayed for quite a while.. though this may just be internet rumor

My Samsung Tablet has a Verizon 4G dedicated connection. Serious reception issues out here in the boonies. Have to wave it around all the time. Very frustrating, about a 2' (left to right) window on the couch to get reception, or nothing. Not paying Dish one more dime for Internet, they already royally screw me.

Our largest funeral home in town is back to work building their own crematorium after some of the states shut down policies were let up slightly.   There are a couple other crematoriums within a 40 mile radius but the real money in funerals today around here is not having to deal with a middle man.    Right now 80% of our dead are taking the burn vs burial route.

I caught a bit on NPR as I was channel surfing how this mortician was "sadden" that there were like 3 services a day and how they couldn't be there for the family. My take away from that was they're getting paid hand over fist and they don't have to fake remorse because they're too busy.

Vultures!  Almost a perfect description but that old saying "Someone's got to do it" also applies.
