25 WSSM ammo
Are they still making it?
I am not seeing a lot on the auction side.
I have a case might be a good time to sell it.

Winchester still makes runs of it and HSM has a load I've been thinking about a Upper for that round and was checking on Ammo availability its can be found easier then some other rounds that I have 0 -
I have 100 new Winchester cases. 0 -
One of the miseries of owning any proprietary cartridge with the name Winchester after it. If it dont sell, Winchester quits making it. Only 2 of the WSSMs sold well, rest are history. 0 -
What 2 sold well

A lack of support by the factory for years has left the WSSM family of cartridges looking like the lost children of the cartridge world. To compound this lack of attention, OlyArms bought out the entire production of 25 WSSM brass for years inorder to create a stranglehold on that market. To this end, OlyArms manufactured what they thought was a world beating super cartridge for AR15 platforms, the 300 OSSM or the 25 WSSM necked up to .30 caliber. And for a few months it did do a little shaking until shooters realized it was simply a flash in the pan. But it still took Winchester about 3 years to finally aim production at the general public where there is surprising support for all three cartridges and cases.
Ammunition though is another story since Winchester pushed most of the market to the reloading sector through the lack of support. I can find 2 versions of the loaded ammunition for the 25 WSSM and that's usually it. But at nearly $2/shot, the demand is not very high. There are suppliers even if it's not GB so do a better search and be happy with what you find or enlist the help of a reloader. Brass for all three cartridges is usually available most of the time since the hoarding of the initial runs died down. I have brass for all three but more for the 25 WSSM since I play with it more now that BlackJack has the 131 grain bullets in full production.

At one time the brass was fairly valuable. I bought a few hundred. I still have 100 of them but back when it was high I traded the rest for a 20ga Wingmaster light pump. 0
