Eating a BBQ in my car......look over to see someone is being entertained.
On my way home from picking up a nearby load of firearms I thought I'd grab a "sammich" from Full Moon Barbecue. I knew I was going to be overrun with things the minute I got back here with everything, so I chose to eat in the car on the way home. It was a large chopped meat deal and I ordered it with EXTRA chow chow. For those who do not know what that is.....its wonderful......little diced up bits of relish type stuff with a twang to it that makes a bbq sandwich SOOOOO much better.
So, I make it to the first red light and open it up. Traffic starts moving, so I don't get to actually take a bite until the next one.....which is when meat started to fall out and I HAD to launch it upward and catch it with my face. Whats a good bite of bbq without that chow chow I requested, so I lick the side of my hand where some of it has rested and just before the light turned I did a quick clean up of my chest area where some meat had fallen. I was dancing like nobody was watching with that bbq sandwich......but someone WAS watching. That guy in the white pickup stuck at the light next to me was nearly in tears when I looked over at him. I gave him a smile and held up my sandwich in a salute to him and he waved back.
I'm sure it was a highlight to his day and I was happy to provide that for him.

If they don't wrap the samich in a paper folder, I fold a napkin around the bottom of it. 0 -
At least you didn't drop it in your lap and have to start digging for it! The fella in the white truck might have had a coronary!

Not what i was expecting to read.

Is bbq following the same path as the fruit bowls?? 0 -
None of this was wasted or spilled in my car.....thank goodness!
I finally broke the crazy streak I was having with fruit bowls and made it all the way to the house with one and haven't had a problem since. I don't know what I would have done if I had actually dropped my bbq today. That man would have never forgotten it though!6 -

take one of the dogs with you next time, you won't need the napkin............ 0 -
"so I lick the side of my hand where some of it has rested and just before the light turned I did a quick clean up of my chest area where some meat had fallen. " If your quick clean up of the "chest'' area included the same process as the hand I imagine the guy in the white truck may have followed you home!

Wow, what nerve and daring wit to attempt to eat a BBQ sammich while driving.Next time get one of those lobster bibs just in case you need protection.

First rule for eating BBQ; If you aint got grease in your eyebrows you aint eatin' it right. 0 -
Exactly, and sammich goodies of any sorts should make it at least half way down ones arms, that is if it is worth eating.

A couple months ago, my oldest son hit a road sign with his company van while turning onto a freeway entrance ramp. He was trying to eat a Whopper at the time of his mishap!
