Mueller 8X32 scope Anschutz 1413 report
I replaced the Lyman Super Target 20X with a Mueller 8X32, my first Mueller optics product. I already had the 11MM high mounts in 30MM from a project a few years back so no additional cost was incurred. The scope was $279.00 from Amazon.
The low down is this; WOW, I was impressed with the clarity at 50 yards, 100 and 200 yards with this affordable high powered glass. It ain't no Nightforce but either is the cost...
Accuracy from the Anschutz 1413 was stellar at 50 yards. Groups with Eley Club Extra, ($12.50 a box) was the same as Wolf Match target (half the cost) and coming in a close third was the cheapo CCI std. velocity. Aguila Target was close but took several rounds to settle the barrel down and get the same groups. It also has a funny smell when shot.
None of the groups exceed a pencil diameter, but the Eley was tops for this test.
The scope has 1/8 MOA adjustments, excellent feel for clicks, side focus, and repeatable adjustments.
I got the fine cross hairs with 1/8th mil dot.
Call me a happy camper for sure.
