    Yeah,O.K., they bring out Roseanne Roseanna danna dressed like a cartoon character with a circus backdrop curtain to deliver such news.  What else ya got.  Any other sources for this?

    How can they use the National Guard to do this ?  I didn't think the Military was allow to be used inside the US against it's citizens

    National Guard can operate in the State by direction of that States Governor.

    Active duty Military may not due to the Posse Comitatus act.


    That is why I found it so interesting when Mike posted about Active duty USAMRIID troops and armed MP's at a Hospital he was at, a few weeks back.

     They are just getting those Blue blues up there ready to get use to seeing troops in uniforms in neighborhoods. As far as what The military can do under The emergency powers act under FEMA rules is always ambiguous intereptations of what banner they operated under. I think people are realizing we are not under civilian rule anymore. Actions are louder than words. I think Trump has us under 6 months of FEMA emergency powers right now.

    I'll take that bet!  The 82nd ABN acted as security in 1967 during the Detroit Riots.  
    EDIT: Additional the 101st ABN was also used in Detroit in '67. (I just learned that - I've known about the 82nd because I was an excited 10 year old living in Detroit then.  I was thrilled to see M60 tanks cruising 'up and down' (East and West) 8 Mile road (aka Baseline - the divider between Detroit and it's Northern suburbs).  My parents were less thrilled)
