What Is Up With Starbuck's?
I thought they hated police and military people, but now I see they are giving away coffee to cops and other first responders. Weird.

What is up is that when they thought they were the alpha dog, they could afford to snarl and bite. And now that they are whining for a handout, no more than a street cur, they need every friend they can get. 3 -

You guys need to lighten up! With over 250,000 employees, once in a while one of them will make an error in judgement. The company always makes it right. When I'm working on the road, it's nice to have places in my territory where I can stop & rest & use the restroom, and get a cup of coffee.Neal

Starbucks doesn't sell coffee. They sell milky drinks made with burned coffee grounds, ordered with a secret language, and costing a dollar an ounce. Coffee is what you get from a pot at a truck stop - that has restrooms identified by gender. 9 -
Never stepped into any of their stores, even to use the restroom, and don't plan to in the future. 3 -
You would think this could offend their liberal customer base and cost them business. I won't shop there because I don't think I could stand associating with their customer base. Also I can make several pots of coffee for what one serving costs there. If I have coffee out it is usually at a restaurant where after several cups I have to tell the server no thanks I don't need another refill. Bob 0 -

with all the current construction around here on hold I noticed one new place they were working on near our current wally world/lowes plaza, I asked a lowes employee yesteday, they are building a new starbucks, guess they couldn't wait, like rest of new construction around town....... 0 -
Well, understand that the guy who bought the franchise (just before all this hit) has not only his entire savings tied up in this, but years worth of future earnings. In short, he's fooked if he doesn't get the building done and open. 0 -

In my formative years, I drank Army chow hall coffee. Truck stop brew is Earl Grey by comparison. 0 -
I used to hit Starbucks twice a day and I think a large coffee was $2.77 with tax. Their "Ethiopian" coffee was and remains some of the best coffee I have drunk but they only brewed it a few times a year so I would buy it by the pound and grind it myself. The last time I stopped by they informed me they had discontinued the Ethiopian and I have not returned. The people working there always treated me well. But since I obtained my Desk Mounted Mr. Coffee I have no need for coffee shops unless traveling. 0 -
No matter what you think of their coffee, their Eggwhite Eggbites with pepper are really good. 0
