Delayed?

I'm sure they are flooded. Just have to wait your turn.
We buy most guns at yard sales, here.3 -
I bought a Ruger 57 this morning my background check went though just fine and as fast as usual.

A couple weeks ago for about a week we were getting a lot more delays than normal. Knowing how it all works, it was due to the volume of background checks coming in and not enough "examiners" to process them, examiners are the people that actually look at a background check if there was a "hit".
A hit is usually caused by something in your criminal history, common name, etc.
Going to another dealer in theory shouldn't matter but I believe it depends on the examiner because we get regular customers that are literally a flip of the coin, sometimes they get a proceed after a further review and sometimes they get delayed.

when you say delayed 2x, what do you mean?
You got delayed, then he ran it again later or what?

yes he tried twice, yesterday and then today. Would that mess anything up? 0 -
Did you fill out two forms?
If you are delayed it usually takes 1-3 days to hear back. After 3 days that the government is open they can legally transfer you the gun. Some dealers will, some won't transfer on "open" status.

I'm guessing you got delayed yesterday and were still delayed today. He wouldn't have initiated another check.
