Delayed
Is anyone else getting the "delayed" action when using the NICS? By submittal has been delayed 2x already. I have nothing on my record and have a CHL in Texas. My last gun purchase was 4 years ago and nothing has changed that should warrant a delay response. Is this normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic? Could I use another FFL transfer dealer if this one falls through? Thanks for your response

The "3 day wait" rule has just been changed by the FBI. Instead of 3 business days, the wait is now "3 days during which Treasury is open for business". If manual intervention is required for any query, you may have to wait for however long it takes.Neal

NICS check with CHL ? Not here. In Texas, the CHL/LTC takes the place of calling NICS. Regarding the delay status: Yes. A frequent transfer customer was delayed when the normal, pre-virus response was "further review" that always came back "proceed." I asked the data entry person about it, and she said it was due to the "national emergency. 3 -
