When do we go back to work?
I was discussing with my wife the fact that we have been quarantined, been doing social distancing and wearing a mask when in public for at least a month now. But it seems like we keep on hearing that new cases of COVID are not decreasing. We could not come up with an answer for the continued infections.

I have heard they are tainting the test kits and spreading it by testing
I don't know if this is true or not but it makes me want to stay away from a test
so much B.S. out right now who knows

They are trying to pass that off as a joke now. Listen to them talk though that was just a straight up matter of fact type of conversation. Believe whatever you like though.
There were not one but three pandemics in the 20th century that had a higher death toll than this has had this far and they didn't put people on house arrest, destroy thousands of small businesses, and put record numbers of people out of work.0 -
I retired two years ago, hope I never have to go back to work........... 0 -
The Governor of Washington state said on Tuesday that jobs in Washington will not be normal until a vaccine is in place.
But then he is a moron.
A moron with power.
With power and the support of a complicate media and 80% of the scared little children of this country.,
Remove restrictions now. If an individual does not want to go out, that individual should be able to balance his health status with the perceived risk. The problem we have right now is the perceived risk in being grossly inflated by power crazed politicians and a press corp that does not report facts that counter the current 'protection at all cost' narrative.3 -
Well, do you remember a month ago the doctors were talking about "rounding the curve"? The curve they were talking about was the reported number of new cases. Now, forget that! The number of cases continues to be undercounted because many cases weren't diagnosed or reported. Most hospitals didn't have tests, & all the early CDC tests were tainted with live virus & not usable. Hopefully, all have now been destroyed. So, while we may have turned the corner, there's no way to tell statistically.
While it's possible that we will get a cure &/or a vaccine, don't bet on it; there are many viruses against which we have no defense. Don't forget, many of the best scientists have left DHHS, CDC, NIH, PHS & other federal agencies; Trump froze their wages, promotions, & hiring for the last 3 years; he is also trying to gut their retirement benefits. Many good scientists left for the private sector. You can't beat your dog every day & expect him to step between you & an angry bear.I think that we need a new immigration policy, starting with "closed borders". Visitors & returning citizens need to be screened, through a modern version of Ellis Island. Bleeding hearts who cried, "Oh, we have so much land, we need to take all of the world's poor" have been proven wrong, & it's cost many lives. We need to elect better people to Congress.Neal

here in Ohio my wife got a call a few days back a week from Monday they are to start back ( auto manufacturing co ) . I guess we see how that goes she was wanting to be off longer to get some project done and giving her body a break .. and adding 600.00 a week to unemployment does help that no hurry feeling ( which she has not seen as of now )
I bumped into a nephew at the store yesterday ( 1st time in years) him and about 20 more (per his guess) are getting the place they work ready to go back to work on Monday ( well known rv trailer company ) he also said some are in no hurry due to unemployment paying so much ( he did not have choice as some others did I think he works maintenance group .
people seem to be getting restless traffic and stores way more busy than just a week ago
we have not seen our stimulus free money as of now ether .0 -

I work as a contractor for several ambulatory surgery centers, they have cut back to one or two days of surgery a week and a greatly reduced volume even on those days. You can bet the Docs are chomping at the bit to get back to making money!
One of my centers is planning to go back full steam ahead Tuesday, the others are planning on phasing back. The work I do for them has continued regardless of their status.0 -
I'm ready to go back doesn't look like it's going to happen for awhile yet 0 -
