Best wishes sent from here.
Medicine has come a long way, it ain't what is used to be.
I hope they can diagnose and treat what ever it is.
And he goes home as sassy as ever.0 -

Will you be heading to Tacoma?
Not at this time. I wouldn't be allowed in the hospital anyway.
I talked with him briefly last evening and he is in good spirits. The pain is low, maybe a 1 to 2 at this point. He said the worst it got was a 5-6 in the early morning hours yesterday. It woke him up at 1:30am and wouldn't let him sleep so he finally got up at 3:30 and went into his office to work. My step mom, apparently, urged the visit when the pain was persistent.0 -
I've been in the hospital 4 times for chest pains. Each time they ran a bunch of tests, but could never come up with a cause. They prescribed some nitroglycerin to take when they hit, and that will almost always stop the pain. doesn't stop the worry though. 3 -
I went through a similar experience where the docs couldn't find anything wrong. Went from normal of 110/70 BP to chest pains and BP of 160/110 overnight in my mid 40's. All kinds of tests that couldn't find what was causing the issue. I was placed on two BP meds and daily nitro tablet to keep heart rate/chest pain and BP under control. Supervisor got a new job, left the state. All numbers returned to normal and no more meds. Was taken off meds when I went to doc because everything was dropping too low on meds. We determined it was stress related.
Mentally, I didn't think I was stressing. Supervisor wasn't harassing me. She was putting me in an awkward position with other co-workers, sharing TMI, asking me to spy on them (I wouldn't) and having me help her correct her mistakes. Sometimes we are stressed and our body reacts when our mind doesn't.0 -
Update: they found an artery that was 100% blocked and another that was 80%. They have put in two stents and will keep him overnight. Thank you for your continued prayers and shared experiences. You guys and gals are such a blessing. 0 -
