Hacked?
Had a pop up show up for the first time while on Gunbroker.
Preventing me from accessing the site. Big stop sign. Stop, we are accessing your Browser for security issues prior to accessing Gunbroker.com. Should take 5 seconds. (Took much longer.)
Preformance (misspelled) and Security by Vanilla Forums.
Showed my IP Address.
When I first saw this, I force logged off and powered down my device. (spooked.)
After about 20-30 minutes, powered back up and tried to access the site. Popped up again right off the bat. Removed all my History, powered down again and eventuall logged back in to the regular gunbroker site, then accessed the Forums.
Anyone else spot this here? Weirded out. First time I have ever seen this. The misspelled word was a Huge Red Flag.

I’ve got it too

I got it on my phone and computer both when I logged in about 10 minutes or so ago. 0 -
Same thing hit me when I went from GB Auction to forums. Mine only took a few seconds and I was here.
Didn't even have time to read the total message. Not sure if it is a hack or just some new forum stuff going on.??0 -
Very strange, and disconcerting. (Especially when I noticed the misspelled word.)
Kept trying to get rid of it and get around it. Not wanting anything to do with it. Anyone else just now getting this BS?

Same exact problem here. Switched to Firefox from Chrome and problem went away. This can't be good. Mark, hope the Suits know whats going on. 0 -
I used the clear recent apps function and opened up google - selected GB members forums and got the same red lettered nonsense - and a longish delay before it connected...
No issues with other sights - could not get the event to repeat when checking on the other places I frequent online.
So I don't think it's me.

Funny thing is, it popped up on my phone as I was logging on with my computer. I wasn't logging on the site on two devices at the same time. It may have been a tab on my phone and the reason for it to happen. 0 -
Same here...The message didn't last but a few seconds...All I could read was "Checking Your Browser before entering Gunbroker" ? 0 -
Went through all my Security settings. Noticed for the first time, "one harmful app installed. (Fraudulent.) "
Hit "Uninstall." Things seemed to get better.

may just be a coincidence but my wife downloaded Zoom, couple days ago, that is latest download I can find. Had the manager of a local store tell me the other day he got hacked same afternoon he downloaded it for work. Ken did you use it to set up calls for your mom????? 0 -
Negative. My nephew set up her devices. He is very computer savvy.
I believe this is soley a Gunbroker issue. As I have said a couple times - the misspelled word was a HUGE Red Flag. No professional "Security" firm would do that. No way.
Besides Hillbille, seems everyone here is getting it, not just me.

Ran a deep scan with up to date Norton 360...Nada? The wife uses Zoom (school administrator )...but never on this computer...I understand there will be a secure (for whatever it's worth)... version of Zoom out this week... The only network we share is the wireless... Hum? 0 -
Got the same message. At least I think I did as it disappeared so fast I didn't get to actually read it. Out of caution I ran a full Malwarebytes and a full Norton 360 and came up clean. Either it was nothing or my virus protection got it before it could do anything. Bob 0 -
Since you first mentioned Badger here, I started using it. Thanks for the heads up, it stopped a whole lot of problems!Flying Clay Disk said:I run Badger. Nothing gets by Badger! Nothing! That and I run Firefox as a browser.
Tells you exactly how many cookies are trying to be placed, and from who, blocks all metrics captures, browsing habits...everything. Totally customizable too.

good that is what I am using too0 -
I just added Badger and it instantly lit up with 3 "blocks" here in the GB forum. I'm somewhat unique in that I run three monitors on my desktop, and all three use a different operating system: Firefox, Edge and Chrome. I normally view GB using Chrome. 0
