My phones visual indicator icon switched from 4G to 4G LTE to 4G+ to 4G+* / which when selected or clicked on displays a header message banner saying "4G+ Plus architecture has been installed and updated to provide limited increased 5G functionality."
The phone recently not only updated every single app or supported function but also performed a complete operating system update and I acquired 3 new apps that can be looked up but do not display icons on any of my home screens...
