Confusion, seizure, strokes with Wuhan Virus

 I wonder what strain is this to get these kinds of reactions? They are not telling us.

Washington (AFP) - A pattern is emerging among COVID-19 patients arriving at hospitals in New York: Beyond fever, cough and shortness of breath, some are deeply disoriented to the point of not knowing where they are or what year it is.

At times this is linked to low oxygen levels in their blood, but in certain patients the confusion appears disproportionate to how their lungs are faring.

Jennifer Frontera, a neurologist at NYU Langone Brooklyn hospital seeing these patients, told AFP the findings were raising concerns about the impact of the coronavirus on the brain and nervous system.

    I've seen people have symptoms like that from a UTI.

    I'm actually not too surprised about those symptoms in some people. Those are quite normal for infections, like bladder, kidney, and UTI's (like mentioned already). That being said, it's still not cool at all.

    Low oxygen levels or perhaps severe dehydration from the illness can cause this. Diabetics are also prone to severe symptoms, so perhaps a blood sugar problem. Not much to go on from what you posted. Bob

    In addition to all of the conditions previously described you can put age into the factor as age intensifys the effects stated.  One report I saw said almost 80% of the cases where for people 70-90 years of age.

    Everything is being called covid now , if you die in CT or NY it's from covid "related"  causes.
    The states get more federal money that way.
