COVID 19 teting
There is very little value on testing people that are not symptomatic and have no known exposure. They are doing drive up testing now. If you test and in a few days the results are negative that doesn't mean you didn't come in contact with it while waiting or might contact it on your next trip out. Then there is a certain amount of false negatives. If it is positive, okay, self isolate and keep doing what you've been doing, if you develop symptoms let us know. If your negative, okay, keep doing what your doing and is you develop symptoms let us know.
A waste of resources, time, and money. Testing people that are symptomatic, okay, testing people in the home with a COVID 19 patient, of course. But mass testing asymptomatic people has very little, if any, return for the use of resources.

They are finding quite a few people who test positive for having had the virus and were unaware of it. Could be very useful in future herd immunity projections. 0 -
Our place is over reacting IMHO...if you have a fever you can't return to work for seven days, even if you don't have a fever the next day, and don't have any symptoms for three days, and no known exposure. So far we've had a couple people get a weeks vacation, both tested and negative and still had them stay out five more days....it really screws the rest of us. It's overkill IMO. 0 -
I was tested last Monday, and got my negative results back Wednesday afternoon. I had no symptoms, but had a brief exposure to a person that tested positive. Fortunately the exposure was VERY brief, and at a distance. I haven't been getting within 10 to 12 feet of another human for weeks now. My doctor was the one that insisted I be tested, I wasn't really worried about it due to the length of time that had passed. 0 -
I agree, but it would be more valuable to know if you had the virus and didnt know it., and are now cured. Then at least you would know you might have some immunity and you could get your life back to a more normal routine. 0
