    Distributor Lew Horton was known for getting manufacturers to make small runs of guns with some non-standard features. I think they went out of business a few months ago.

    All I see is an overpriced pistol that has been misrepresented by the seller.  I do not bid on guns with false tags in the title.  I think this is a dishonest practice.

    I have  a colt 1911 I bought thru a FFL friend many years ago it  was a custom shop deal but so many orders came in  they switched to  mass produced them not sure how  they made   it looks like a cross between a gold cup and standard 1911 some distributor started it  ( had it made )when I  finely ordered mine ( rounding up the money ) I  waited too late into the production they had went from giving colt custom custom shop boxes and paperwork to 
      just a nice colt box and a few extras with it  . still a nice looking  pistol

    I think that the guns he has listed for sale / up for auction here on GB are damn interesting - oddball rarely seen variants and configurations of guns never seen outside of a catalog or reference book...

    Unobtainium - unicorns - white whales - pots of gold - magic beans - one of none...

    If these guns were all purchased by one buyer - the resultant collection would be fascinating as much for quality and desirability as obscurity and fantasy...

    I am oddly drawn to and intrigued by this group of arms.

    And just to say you have a pair of similar guns...
