Mock Attacked - (Coronavirus Lock Down Fun.) Post a funny photo of your dog. (Nother Buddy photo)
By the dog last 1/2 hr. or so. Throwing his duck, up the long hallway. "Get it, get it."
Been mock chewing on my hand/arm. "Hey!" Running around like a Nut. Look on his face, priceless.
Too funny. Exhausted. Flopped down at my feet just now. Rubbing him with my foot.

While under a watchful and distrustful eye - I carefully performed surgery with a needle and thread - and one each replacement squeaker and grunter...
The Christmas moose had popped a seam and the squeaker had failed - lost its integrity - and the left rear hoof no longer grunted...
So with heavy duty thread and dipping into me limited supply of replacement internal noise making plastic devices - with Akira poised and attentive while I performed emergency Christmas moose surgery...
It was touch and go there for awhile - I was uncertain that the plush patient would pull through...
Thankfully with the supplies and parts provided by Foster and Smith and plush repair skill honed over decades the Christmas moose is back in action and back together and as good as new.
There was a tentative moment were he gently tool the Christmas moose from my hands - taking several steps away from me and laying down with the moose between his fore paws...
He mouthed it softly - then after a grunt and squeak a bit more roughly...
Then he tossed it up in the air and pounced upon it - lest it escape...
Soon he was running around having a mad moment - vigorously breaking the moose's neck and making him grunt and squeak...
Eventually he came to me and deposited the moose on my lap - and after a little teasing and noise making and mock tossing the moose got tossed across the room and he judiciously retrieved it and brought it back - grunting the moose furiously.
All is now well and as it should be.

Remember the old Pink Panther movies?
Kato hiding from Cleausou, hiding, attacking, etc.
We do that all the time. His favorite game. When he takes off running to a different room. I take that opportunity to relocate, and hide. Scare the crap out of him. He takes off running again.
Relocate again. Repeat. Never gets old. 😉
(Having a muscular athletic, best friend, Pit Mock attacking you, is hysterical.) We have a ball.

Should have named him Kato! 0 -
"Buddy," just kind of developed. That is what I ended up calling him all the time. Name the Rescue association gave him was "Parker," like the Pit in the Mel Gibson movie. (Revenge?)
Currently taking up about 2/3rd's of the couch. Upside down, all four legs up in the air, head hanging off the side. Lips flayed back exposing all his teeth. Scary. 🙄

It was so funny and sad at the same time...
I had about two dozen smaller kitchen knives out on the coffee table along with 3 different types of sharpening / edge honing devices...
I also has a two sided puck shaped stone - a pair of ceramic sticks - and an actual leather strop set aside - and I have a work cover for the coffee table made by sewing together pieces of 3 welders aprons...
So I was working on some Swiss army paring knives while a lecture on Gobeki Tepli was buzzing in the background - Graham Hancock lecturing away...
The dog came in with a resigned and slow gait - not quite hanging his head - not quite hang dogged...
He had the Christmas moose in his mouth and he deposited it on the couch next to me - seeming to carefully deposit it on the cushion - not in an ebullient expressive manner signaling his desire to play...
He then sat down and prodded the moose with his nose two or three times...
I could see that one hoof had sprung a seam - and further inspection and manipulation showed that the grunted in the leaking leg and the squeaker in its nose no longer produced any audible signals...
His jumbo sized red and green Christmas moose has been his favorite plush toy - and while he on occasion can and will trash or destroy other plush toys - he never gets out of hand with the Christmas moose from foster Smith...
He will cavort with wild abandon and break the moose's neck - killing the moose with great glee - but not destroying it or mistreating it - full out play and vigorous use but respectful and careful at the same time.
He will take the moose into his crate - he will sleep on or with the moose...
The Christmas moose is his talisman - it's his security blanket - it's his mojo...
We even have a back up moose stored away - but it would not smell or taste the same - it would not have the battle scars of the original.

My dog takes great pleasure in destroying any sound making device in any of his toys. Post haste.
If they last more than a couple days, I am suitably impressed.

One of the most enjoyable sights to behold...
Akira has skills akin to an Olympic athlete - and one of his favorite pastimes is running down or snapping up a tennis ball...
No matter what angle it impacts at - no matter how much spin is imparted - regardless of its velocity- not caring how many surfaces it strikes or bounces off of - momentum and vector...
He effortlessly manages to rush in full speed ahead and manages to snag the ball on the fly making it seem effortless - as he regains his composure and exits the fray after he has snapped the ball up - switching from full speed collision course limbs akimbo head turning and tracking at seemingly impossible angles at odds with the direction his body is moving as he runs out of room and seems destined for a pile up...
But in the blink of an eye - in a split second - if you blinked you missed it - the ball is in his mouth having been snapped out of the air...
and suddenly his is cool as a cucumber and composed - now seemingly under full control and he somehow exits at a normal speed seeming to nonchalantly tap dance back to you with a wiggle in his back end and the devil in his eye...
He is very proud of his hard earned skill - he has worked hard at it...
But than I introduced a paradigm shift and changed the rules - and he has gone from a tap dancing master to a cow on ice snapping his jaws on empty air and missing the 3 wire...
You see I have found tennis balls with a small offset weight inside - so that it does not bounce or reflect or behave as it should - as math and physics and doggy skill says it should - it no longer behaves and has mind of its own...
Mostly I stick with his normal standard tennis balls - just now and then on a rare occasion tossing some loaded dice into the game and reminding him that snit happens.

LOML's fluffmutt "Lilly" (Shedzu/Poodle cross)Â patiently waiting for her to come home from rehab after hip replacment.
Lilly's favorite treat is a "baby carrot" -- loves to crunch one up!
We've even developed a version of the old "shell game" where I hid a carrot in one hand and pat the bed with my fists and she bounces and sniffs and looks at my hands trying to pick the one with the carrot, and of course I switch hands once she thinks she knows and she gets and empty hand. She'll bark and growl and keep picking hands until I let her have her carrot.
Tickeles LOML to no end! (Lilly is a rescue and apparently had a bad experience with a guy and it's taken 3 years for he to trust me and just now started playing games like this one)0 -

Little Willie guarding his T Bone. My bride got scared that bone was too much for him. When she tried to steal it away he growled at her. Only time in eight years that he ever growled. Can you blame him? Took him two days to polish off that bone.

Throwing the Duck, for the dog. Running him up and down the long hallway to the front door. Tug of war, each time to get it from him. Yelling "Get it, Get it".............when throwing it down the hallway.
Sliding in, to second base, on the long hallway runner. Too funny.
Lets see some more dog photos.
