This is the wad cutter match gun I got from Perry Shooter a few years back.
Karl showed me the target from his Ransom rest testing. A 200 SWC charged with 4.4 grains of VV 310. The target showed a 1.4" group at 50 yards. The gun can out shoot me by several points in any situation.

I have owned two Clark guns built in the 1960's and Colt never built anything that would shoot with those guns. I always wanted one of Armand Swenson's guns but never owned one. I have owned maybe six Wilsons and three or four Baers and they were all great guns. I had a Kimber Super Match that shot very well. The thing that impressed me most with the guns built by the old masters, Chow, Swenson, Clark and some others is they took stock Colt parts and welded and filed and fitted them by hand. They were no CNC parts available as far as I know. You should treasure that old 1911. And shoot it too. 0 -
It has been shot a lot! The action and trigger are like oiled glass on glass, the trigger is superb. I can shoot 50 yard slow fire pretty good but timed and rapid fire has always been my nemesis, the gun is not at fault it is all me for the failures to score 10's. This G.MADORE built 1911 is a work of art in steel beautiful to hold and shoot. I cherish it and the memory of Karl. Shooting with him is a fond memory that I will never forget. Karl was an awesome teacher, a good friend and a fine man that would never steer one wrong. His selling this gun to me is a great example of a great man doing great things. 0 -

Nice pistol. There were a lot of not famous "gunsmiths" that fitted up great shooting pistols. 0 -
I have a Giles built 38 wadcutter I found in a pawn shop years ago. The barrel is marked 38 super as is the slide, so they thought that is what it was. Came with one original 38 spec mag also. The gun shoots far better than I will ever be able to, but it is a real pleasure to handle such a well built firearm.
