The criminal mind is amazing
Been binge watching the A&E special on rookie CO's in New Mexico's highest security prison. The inmates all talk about "respect". I don't get it. How does being a murderer, rapist, armed robbery and assault felon show any respect to anyone? In prison all they talk about is disrespect and respect, how is what they did respectful? Drugs are huge in prison, how can prison reform people willing to commit felonies while serving time as a felon?
I also wonder about Lilly Rodriguez , a real cutie pie that is 5'0" tall and 102 pounds. What good could ever come of having a cutie pie ultra petite lady involved with hardened criminals that are very dangerous? She is in great jeopardy and very bad things could happen to her before she even had a chance to pull her mace.
Cohen Mangin, a third generation CO was found on video to have meth on him, he dropped the package in the parking lot 100% confirmed by the video. He was arrested and is now awaiting trial. During a youtube showing his arrest he said he was using the meth to keep himself awake during the long hours of the shifts he worked. He had progressed from Rookie CO to a Lt. in a short time. His career is OVER if found guilty. If he gets hard time it will be VERY hard time for sure.

There are a few positions in law enforcement that are ok for females to fill but there are many that are not. BUT, it is PC to put women into everything, qualified or not (usually not). It's been going on for far too long. In training they get special privileges like having an instructor ride with them in driving quals. Or being allowed to keep trying, and trying, until they finally pass shooting quals. Then on the street, it's ALWAYS their male partner kicking in the door, or wrestling the perp to the ground while the female stands by. Same thing in the military. Males get disqualified if they don't meet the physical performance standards to be a pilot in the Air Force. Females get a variance from the requirements, and sometimes a plane's controls get modified so a woman can handle them. Just another example of the new America. 0 -

Lots of female firefighters today in America. I am sure they are "on duty" when it is pay day. In fact there is a new drama series on tv, I think on NBC, Station 19. It is about firefighters. I watched 5 minutes of it the other night, changed stations before I threw up. The two captains on the scene are white gals, about 30 years old, and both about 5-5 and 135.
There are plenty of big gals looking for acting roles, the point of this show is that a small white gal is as good as, or, as supervisor, better than, any man.
In the show I watched there was a wreck of a tanker truck, it was catching fire, they had hosed it down with all the foam. They needed a single firefighter to walk up to the truck and do something really dangerous I didn't quite catch what. The bravest, and the best of them all for this one job, was a black gal about 25 years old, and about 5-5 and 135. So, about 10 firefighters, all young men about 6 foot 1, stood back and chewed their fingernails, too nervous to even talk, the diminutive black heroine waded out through the foam.... and then I changed the channel. The media message, the big white guys stand back, the little females will risk their lives and handle the crisis.
So it is with the image from media. Meanwhile in the real world, here is a rescue from yesterday. A truck crashed on the high bridge, the cab is dangling high above the water, they need a badass firefighter to rappel down and rescue the driver. What do you know it is a big white guy.

Even 20 years ago, you know good and well that a LiberalLand like NY had many females on the firefighter payroll. 343 firefighters died on 9/11. Know how many were female? Zero.
When it is pay day the gals are front and center, but when it is time to strap on 74 pounds of bunker gear, and climb 101 flights of stairs, the girls are absent from duty.3 -
Going on to 37 years in the fire service . I know of exactly two females who I would fight fire with . One is now an assistant chief . When I first met her 35 years ago she shoed horses for a living . Only farrier I used for years . The other gal is a CrossFit trainer . She could whip my butt with one hand tied behind her back . The others have been feel good window dressing

It's all relative to your station in life.In the old days men took the hazardous jobs in warfare and got all the political power.We can't have that any more because of political correctness irregardless of the physical demands that puts our minds in irrational thoughts of policies of equality beyond it's limits.

The greatest jeopardy any rookie female correctional officer will be in is being manipulated by criminal masterminds every minute of their shift. The female will walk on the tier and at every cell door window it will be a cheery, smiley faced convict full of hello, how are you doing today? You’re looking nice today, I’m so glad your on the tier today the last officer was a jerk. If the officer feeds into them and carries a conversation with them, the hook is set. I would never allow any female I care about to work in the prison, not only are the inmates very manipulative, so are many of the officers. Just say NO to inmates, best advice I ever got many years ago when I started. 0 -

TRUTH....prime example.... the move from .40 back to 9mm...FBI grew tired of having to spend time training their recoil sensitive shooters (who mostly aren't even interested in firearms) on how to actually shoot. Much easier to just hand them a 9mm. Another PC driven decision. Lower recoil, and MORE capacity for when they miss they have more to try and hit the bad guy. As pulsarnc said....lots of window dressing....anytime a female officers does something good, that her male counter parts do on a regular basis the Chief falls all over himself to pour praise on her...meanwhile her male colleagues know, they remember how many times they had to step into situations to prevent a pummeling, or saw her struggling to control the situation. Only a few rare times in 24 years so far have I worked with females that were capable and competent in doing the job, the majority just wanted to tell people they were cops, not actually be one. In fairness, I've worked with a few guys that were the same, couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag, had the courage of the lion from Wizard of Oz, and only wanted to tell folks they are a cop, but didn't have the fortitude to be one. Good thing is this job weeds them out, sometimes takes a few years but they eventually hit the road. Large agencies with specialty assignments its not as big a deal, but when you're in a small agency, and your only back up for 10-15 minutes in a bad situation is a 5'5" 135 lb female it's concerning.0 -
My wife retired from being a correctional officer for 25 years. She dealt with it all, take downs , unruly inmates, and more and never complained. She said the new woman coming in we’re not trained like she was and were afraid to do what she did naturally. She is a beautiful southern gal who you wouldn’t think was a bad ass corrections officer.
